Demon ghost caught on camera at Christmas party

AN evil black-eyed child ghost has been captured on film sitting at a table during a Christmas party.

A pair of terrified teens spotted the demon after taking the snap at a pub.

Spooked pals Sophie Killip and Kayleigh Lomas, both 19, had met up for a festive get-together at the boozer.

But they were left horrified when the spectre appeared at one of the party tables in the photograph.

The dark-haired child, who appears to have cuts on her head and be wearing old fashioned clothes, seems to be staring straight at the camera from sunken eyes.

Spooked Sophie, a student, said: “The table was just one down from us and nobody was sat there so we took a photo of the decorations because they were really nice.

“There was nothing there at the time but when we looked back at the photo we couldn’t believe it.

“It looked like a little girl staring directly back at us.

“I didn’t believe in ghosts until I saw this photo.

“No-one was sitting at this table yet there is most definitely something paranormal in the photo.”

The pair took the photo at Harry’s Bar and Grill in Newcastle. And Sophie sent it to a friend who “reads” ghost photos.

The pal admitted it was the “clearest evidence she had ever seen”.

TV journalist spooked by empty glass moving on table (video)

Carlos MolinaThis is the chilling moment a TV presenter watches his glass of water move across a table during a live TV broadcast - and claims there is no obvious explanation for the mysterious incident.

Thousands witnessed the apparently paranormal phenomenon after tuning into the breakfast show on Honduran television.

Journalist Carlos Molina admitted he felt a chill go down his spine seconds before the glass slid across the table as the mystery deepened last night sparking fears the studio was haunted.

The bizarre moment occurred as Carlos helped present the morning news on a Teleceiba channel programme called Primera Edicion - ‘First Edition’ in English.

He interrupted colleague Pablo Zapata as he read out a message from a viewer, telling him with an anguished look on his face: “Look, look, did you see the glass that moved over there?

His co-host said: ‘Don’t worry’ but Carlos insisted: “The table isn’t uneven. There’s no slope” before trying to laugh off what he had just witnessed.

Seattle's Blue Moon Burgers think they have a ghost (video)

The good people of Blue Moon Burgers in Seattle say a long series of “odd experiences” got a little too real after they found a till drawer broken on the floor one morning. They thought there’d been a break-in; after they pulled the surveillance video, a break-in might’ve been preferable.

Check out the last few seconds of the video below to see what we’re talking about.

“What we found freaked us out,” Blue Moon wrote on Facebook. “The front counter at Capitol Hill has (2) cameras directed at it, one from the front and one from above. As you can see from the video the till drawer shoots out of the cabinet, if you are familiar with these drawers you know they come with locks on the rollers to keep the drawer from coming out.”

The video is pretty eerie at first, but Blue Moon points out that it gets weirder on second watching.

“Watch the video again and you will notice the light in the bottom of the frame starts to move right before the draw shoots out on the second video you see the signs above the counter start to move. In the other video you can see the reflection of something moving in the reflection of the lamp glass.”

Man captures 'ghost' of child caught on camera (video)

This is the spooky apparition which looks to be the ghost of a child captured floating on camera.

The eerie figure is caught on film appearing in a man's front room before moving across the shot and back again.

The footage was uploaded to Facebook and has been viewed more than 600,000 times.

But instead of being scared of the 'ghost' the owner of the house was said to be delighted.

Folk legend in Japan states, zashikiwarashi, or child ghost is supposed to bring good luck to all who see it.

They typically take the form of a five or six year old and are said to live in homes to bring families good fortune.

However, they are also said to cause mischief.

Masahiro claims he captured the zashikiwarashi on camera and uploaded the video captioned “Succeeded in recording a zashikiwarashi on video!

"Those of you who see this will be lucky... maybe."

Tourist captures ghostly image of a little girl in Chattanooga

Girl in Pink (center)
A tourist believes he captured the image of a ghostly woman while visiting Chattanooga over the weekend.

Lewis E. Atchison Jr. and his wife, Valeria, were in Chattanooga for the Head of the Hooch regatta this past weekend. During their stay, they decided to explore the city's haunted past by taking an extended ghost tour with Chattanooga Ghost Tours.

The left photograph was the result.

Atchison snapped the photo during the tour at what is known as the Underground Chattanooga parking deck at 633 Chestnut St. A historical marker at the location recalls the life of G.W. Franklin, a black business owner who lived from 1865 to 1928. Among his establishments was a successful undertaking business, thought to have been located at this address.

For several years, access to below the parking deck was blocked by chain-link fencing. Only recently has the fence been open to allow people inside for those who dare to enter.

Two caged areas thought to have been used as livery stables are still located underneath the street and accessible via the parking deck. According to Chattanooga Ghost Tours owner Amy Petulla, this specific location is more "active" than other locations on the tour.

The site has produced several memorable photographs, including this one of what appears to be a little girl in a pink dress.

Mother flees apartment in terror after GHOST photobombs her selfie

A young mother fled her home in terror after a 'ghost' photobombed her as she took a selfie - just weeks after undertakers claimed there was a dead body at the property.

Natasha Boden, 26, from Blackpool, Lancashire, took the picture on her mobile phone after dyeing her hair blonde.

But the mother-of-one was reduced to tears when she noticed a face lurking near her right shoulder after she zoomed in on the spectral snap.

Ms Boden immediately checked into a hotel for the night and is now looking for somewhere else to live with her partner Mark Donohue and two-year-old daughter Dolly - and has ended the tenancy at her two-bedroom flat.

She said that just six weeks earlier, undertakers had knocked on her front door, claiming they were there to collect a corpse.

The undertakers soon realised they had gone to the wrong flat but Ms Boden said she cannot go back to the property knowing it might be haunted.

She said: 'My boyfriend is moving everything out of the flat. I can't go back there. I'm absolutely petrified.

'I've never believed in ghosts or anything like that. If someone else had taken the photograph, I would think it was a load of rubbish but the face is so clear.

'I was terrified. I was alone in the flat and I knew I had to get out immediately. It was 11pm but I checked into a hotel and asked my boyfriend to meet me there.

Sue Radigan, 49, took the spooky snap while walking her dog, Mia, in a park near her home in Wythall, Birmingham.

After German Shepherd Mia started staring into the distance and barking as Sue took her for a walk at dusk last week, Sue decided to take a picture

And when she got home, she was baffled when she spotted the image of an elderly couple and their Airdale Terrier in the photograph next to Mia - even though she had been alone in the park.
Is Sue's local park haunted?

Sue said: "I had been out walking Mia with my camera, hoping to get some nice pictures of her in the autumn leaves.

"We hadn't been out for very long when it started to get dark, so I took a detour through our local park so that Mia could have a good run off the lead before home time.

"She is normally a very quiet dog, but she suddenly turned and just stared into the middle of the park, and started barking.

"There was no-one else there, so I said to her 'What is it girl?', but she just kept barking at nothing.

Strange sea monster appears in tourist’s vacation photos

A British tourist who took pictures of the sea was left in shock after he discovered a weird "creature" had photobombed his holiday snaps.

Harvey Robertson, 52, was on a boat cruise with his family in Corfu when he captured a number of photographs inside a sea cave.

He held the camera over the side of the boat to take pictures of the sea.

But when he lifted his camera back up, Harvey discovered a mysterious creature had appeared in one of the frames.

Harvey said: "I have no idea what it could have been, I have never seen anything like it.

"I caught the picture by accident. I was in a sea cave on a small boat about 20 miles south of Albania on the west coast of Greece.

"I was trying to capture the water colour and was not looking at the water, the flash went off. I only saw the creature when looking back through my pics."

CCTV captures wobbling chair and baby ghost Singapore bar (video)

Ghostly CCTV has revealed a bar stool wobble several times, fall over on its own before a small 'ghost' is seen running out of a Singapore bar.

Filmed in Cato bar in Singapore’s Chinatown district, the vision depicts three men sitting inside the venue when the creepy footage appears to show a barstool wobbling back and forth without anybody touching it.

The nearest people are two men sitting at least a metre chatting among themselves oblivious to the strange situation unfolding behind them.

As the clip unfolds it shows the stall from a different angle teetering with the men in the foreground.

Switching back to the first view, the footage shows the stool wobbling more vigorously before toppling over onto the floor.

The men chatting are obviously startled by the stall's odd behaviour probably discuss how it could have happened before picking it up and putting it back where it was.

But the situation gets more chilling when a tiny person or ghost appears to emerge from a doorway behind the men, scuttling past them, the men don't react or seem to have any idea.

Man photographs creepy lurking apparition in hotel room

This is the eerie figure that appeared in a hotel guest's photos when he took a snap of his room in the middle of the night.

Douglas Patterson is convinced his room was haunted after the strange white body was caught on camera.

The 27-year-old was staying at the Sweeney Hall Hotel, Oswestry, Shropshire when he was spooked by a light shining through his window.

He took a picture and when he looked at his camera in the morning he was startled to see the image of a person in the foreground of the picture.

“There was definitely nothing there when I took the picture,” said Douglas, from Edinburgh.
“I couldn’t work out what the light was so I took picture in the hope that the following morning I could identify what it was.”

Although there was nothing on the image to identify the light, something much more sinister was in the image – the outline of a woman dressed in old fashioned clothing.

“It was really weird,” said Douglas.

“I could sort of see this shape and I just thought it was a reflection off some furniture, but there was no furniture at that point in the room.

“I’ve never really believed in ghost stories before, but now I’d probably say I’ve got an open mind – it certainly makes you wonder.

"There isn’t an obvious explanation, I can’t come up with anything. It’s a complete mystery.”

But it’s not the first time ghostly goings-on have been reported at the ivy-clad Georgian manor house.

Is this the ghost of a pub landlord who hanged himself?

The image appears to show the shadow of a man behind the bar, even though there is no source of light pointing in the right direction.

Ms Taggart, 51, said: 'It was very dark and it clearly is the lurking shape of big person as you can see the head and shoulders, but the only person in the shot was the girl behind the bar and you can see her on the left. She confirmed to us that no one else was there with her.
'There was a kitchen door behind the figure but it is completely obscured by this shadow. None of us could believe it. Quite a few people in our group were shook by the photo and we found it very unsettling.'

She added: 'Despite it being very creepy, I thought there must be a rational explanation. However, a friend of mine analysed the picture and said that there was no light penetrating the shadow, it was just a dense black shape. That was very unsettling.

'This is the one piece of footage we have ever found that we are not able to debunk. There is no explanation that I can think of. There was no one stood there and yet the shape of a person is clear and it is in the same spot where stories say the landlord hanged himself.

During the evening's investigation the team felt sudden cold chills in some areas of the building, and a child's voice was heard at one point.

A spokesman for the Golden Fleece said: 'It is no surprise that people who live and work in the Golden Fleece have some hair-raising tales to tell. In fact several of them have described how their hair was pulled as if by invisible hands.

10 legendary ghost tales of Disneyland hauntings

The number of internet sites devoted to the ghosts of Disneyland is downright scary.
From ghostsnghouls.com to hauntedhoneymoon.com to theghostdiaries.com (and many others), there are enough creepy Disneyland stories to fill the Haunted Mansion.

I recently interviewed a cast member who works inside the Haunted Mansion. She talked about the belief, among Disney employees, that the place is inhabited by more than the Disney-created 999 haunts.

She said female employees talk about ghosts that untie the ribbons in the cast members’ hair. She said props move from one side of a room to the other. She said there are behind-the-scenes rooms in the Haunted Mansion that are so creepy employees avoid going inside.

Did you hear the one about the one-way rider on Space Mountain? How about Walt Disney’s ghost on Main Street? Or about the grad night ghost on the Monorail?
Check out the Haunted Disney legends:

Legend 1: Walt Disney haunts Disneyland – Everyone knows that Walt had an apartment over the Fire Station on Main Street, right? And that the light in the window is never turned off – a tribute to Walt, who died in 1966, right? But did you hear this one: Before the tradition of leaving the light on began, a cast member turned off the light and left the room only to find the light turned on again when she returned. The story goes that she heard a voice that said, “I am still here.”

Legend 2: Space Mountain’s Mr. One Way – He’s described as a large man with red hair and a red face. The legend is that he sits in the seat next to single riders. Then he disappears by the end of the ride. He has also been spotted in the cast member locker room.

Legend 3: Monorail runner -- In June of 1966, a teenager tried to sneak into Disneyland for grad night by climbing a fence and crossing the Monorail track. When he was spotted by a security guard, the teenager ran. But he was struck and killed by the Monorail train. It is said that the ghost of the teenager can be seen at night running alongside the Monorail train.

Jefferson Hotel in Texas spooks guests and staff

JEFFERSON — For most people, haunted houses, hotels and castles are a once-a-year event when the brave-at-heart creep through such sites on All Hallows' Eve.

For the staff at the Jefferson Hotel, they say their encounters with the paranormal happen weekly — even daily — throughout the year and without any such assurances.
They say the hotel is haunted.

"I was a pretty big skeptic when I first came along," manager Alicia Montgomery said, adding she has changed her opinion in the four years she has worked at the hotel. "I know there are things that are unexplainable that happen in the hotel. I've been the only one at the hotel, with no employees and no guests, and the front switchboards on the front desk light up like rooms are talking to each other.

"Dishes have been moving; I haven't seen them, but you hear them clinging. Our pay phone in the hall rings. Televisions are turned on and off. I've seen things fall with no one around them. Things happen all the time."

Woman in white

The tales told about the Jefferson Hotel are the stuff of typical ghost stories: the jilted bride, playful but mysterious children and even a mysterious man that lingers about the hotel hallways.
"The main story is of Elizabeth," Montgomery said. "She was a guest that hung herself in the hotel in the 1870s. She was a bride that was stood up on her wedding day. She hung herself from the bed that is currently in Room 19. We were told that the groom never showed up. She felt she couldn't go on with her life. I'm told local historians think that she probably was pregnant. Back in the 1800s, no one could help you out. That might explain it."

Housekeeper Denise Garza said she gave up being a skeptic after working at the hotel.

A haunted house for sale can lure or repel buyers

Crayhay Mansion - Midland Park
A busy open house can be a real estate agent's dream. But for some people who turned out for two open houses at a majestic Victorian home in Midland Park, it wasn't the prospect of buying the home that piqued their curiosity.

Instead, they were there as ghost hunters.

As Halloween approaches, real estate agents say rumors of ghosts can attract the curious but also scare off prospective buyers and silence owners, who are trying to sell their home or tamp down rumors about their house. But in other cases, an opportunity to rub elbows with a ghost can be a draw (think "The Amityville Horror").

Over the years, Internet lore had grown about the Midland Park home, with rumors of apparitions, including those of a former owner and a cat. Stories about the home, known as the Crayhay Mansion, abound with tales of the uninvited. It's unclear how or when the accounts began. What is clear is that neither previous nor current owners want to talk about them, as was the case for several of North Jersey's alleged "haunted" properties.

The Crayhay Mansion, which sold in August, had been on the market since April 2014. The home, built in 1864, had an urban myth, which the sellers knew about when they moved in, said Patti Crawford of Keller Williams Village Square Realty in Ridgewood, a co-listing agent on the house. Curiosity seekers drawn to the open houses would head for the third floor of the house, where the cat is rumored to appear, but would leave "a little disappointed," Crawford said.

The sellers had bought the home in 2006 for $955,000 and said they never experienced anything unusual in the house, said Nena Colligan, the home's other co-listing agent. The house's price was reduced several times before it was sold in August at $710,000.

Colligan said the final price reflects a market adjustment. "We're not selling at 2006 prices," she said, but admits, "I think the stories did hurt the value of the home."

One couple came very close to buying the home until the wife learned from a friend of the online stories. After some additional Googling, the wife was scared away, Colligan said.

"People really do react to it. It really does make people uncomfortable," Colligan said. "I was surprised how much it did that." Even the eventual buyers had heard the stories and called to check out the rumors ahead of seeing the home. The new owners would say only that they have not experienced anything out of the ordinary.

Footsteps

Ana O'Callaghan lived in a Victorian home in Ridgewood for 13 years.

Throughout her time in the home, which was built in 1871, O'Callaghan said she and other family heard unexplained footsteps and objects falling, and saw numerous ghostly images, such as of an older gentleman in Victorian garb and a little girl, who liked to play with her daughter's toys. O'Callaghan later learned from her next-door neighbor that an 8-year-old girl had died in the house in 1950.

"There was definitely a lot of activity" going on in the home, O'Callaghan said. "I just think certain souls either come to visit or are grounded to the home they lived in and don't understand they left."

Did Simon Cowell see a ghost on The X-Facor, "Live Finals" ?? (video)

Simon Cowell left spooked after seeing ghostHE'S not one to get spooked easily, but Simon Cowell was left seriously weirded out on last night's The X Factor after he spotted a "ghost" during filming

Simon Cowell saw a 'ghost' in the window behind Anto.

The media mogul and his helping hand, One Direction's Louis Tomlinson, were watching Anton Stephans perform on Judges' Houses, in the hope of bagging himself a spot in the Live Finals.

However, despite Anton's incredible vocals, Simon got distracted as he noticed something eery going on behind him.
As the hopeful sang his heart out, a pale character with frizzy white hair appeared in the window, causing Simon to yell "sorry, I think I just saw a ghost".

Earlier this week, it was revealed that crew members were left freaked out after TV monitors allegedly flickered on and off when the "ghost" appeared, with a bolted window also flying open.

The segment was filmed at Chateay de Canes in Candes-Saint-Martin and the owner has previously insisted that there have been some spooky goings-on around the place.

Haunted Linda Vista Hospital in Los Angeles is now a home for seniors

Since 2012, construction work has been underway to turn the eerie, derelict Linda Vista Community Hospital in Boyle Heights—supposedly one of the most haunted spots in Los Angeles—into comely affordable housing for seniors. Now the project is complete and, just in time for Halloween, this place doesn't look haunted in the least anymore. A release for the adaptive reuse project, designed by Killefer Flammang Architects and developed by AMCAL Multi-Housing, says that the former hospital—built in the '20s and '30s—has been restored, revamped, and renamed: now known as the Hollenbeck Terrace Apartments, the one-time health facility holds 120 apartments for oldsters.

The original Linda Vista marble entryway and Santa Fe tile have been preserved. Residents will have a roof deck and, in a space that includes "a boiler room with 30-foot ceilings," the community will eventually have an arts venue. The Hollenbeck Park-adjacent structure's "historic lobbies, dining rooms and common areas remain, while patient rooms, laboratories, the nurses' dormitory and offices were converted to living areas."

Gone, it seems, are the days when this super creepy, vacant filming location will fuel the nightmares of those who visit and see water spigots turn themselves on and off, or feel tiny baby hands touch them when there's no one around. OR ARE THEY? (They probably are.)

Ghost shows up in couples selfie at a New Orleans restaurant (video)

ORLEANS -- New Orleans is no stranger to hauntings.  A couple from West Virginia found this out during a visit last year.

Ian Wrin and April Russ were visiting New Orleans and ate at Tujague's, the city's second-oldest restaurant.

"(Ian and April) were dining here and they took a selfie," said Poppy Tooker, author and Radio Host of Louisiana Eats. "When they got home and looked through the photographs, they noticed something hovering over the diners behind them, with a glowing orb and thought...what is that?!"

In the Begue Room, there are no windows or doors for a reflection to appear, according to Tooker.

"That's Julian Eltinge!  That's Tujague's cross-dressing ghost," Tooker said.

According to Tooker, who spoke to WGNO:

This ghost story begins with famous actor of the stage and screen, Julian Eltinge.  Eltinge starred alongside Rudolph Valentino in the silent film, "Aisle of Love", and even had his own cosmetics line.  Tooker said that Eltinge was a cross-dresser, whose alter ego was Vesta Tilley.

Man reportedly photographs ghost at Texas Museum

Man Snaps Photo at Fort Worth Museum with Mystery Creature. Ghost? Demon? (2)Do you enjoy sleeping soundly? Do you close your eyes and not have visions of ghosts and demons hanging around playing children?

Let’s change that. This photo appeared on Reddit some time ago, but the mystery is still unsolved.

Kevin Brown was at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History with his niece, two nephews and an iPad. While they were playing in the kids-only grocery store exhibit, Brown snapped some photos.

When they got home, his niece was looking through the photos when she asked Brown what the hell is in the background of one (she probably didn’t use exactly those words).

“That is the first time in my life I’ve actually had the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. It freaked me out. It freaked (my niece) out,” Brown says.

Is it less creepy when it's lightened? No. And look at those hands.

Is it less creepy when it's lightened? No. And look at those hands. The image in the background of the photo could be a number of things. Other Redditors have lightened the photo and examined it, with some deciding it's just a woman and others confirming it’s a child-eating demon.

Brown isn’t so sure.

“I’m positive I would have noticed something like that and it was strange. It wasn’t noticed until we looked at the pictures,” he says.

North Carolina Governor still haunts Executive Mansion

In April of 1891, Gov. Daniel G. Fowle complained of sudden indigestion, a fierce malady that sent the stout and mustachioed statesman to his custom-made bed.

He rested there until shortly before midnight, when he frantically pressed the electric button to summon his family – once, twice and then a third time.

“I feel faint,” he gasped, head dropping fatally to his pillow.

News of the governor’s death spread quickly across Raleigh, reaching the Capital Club at 1 a.m., where it cast a gloom over the merriment of the Domino Ball. “The notes of the music were hushed,” the N&O reported, “and the revelers with awe-stricken faces stopped their gayeties.”

But Fowle’s spirit never truly shook free of Raleigh, nor the Executive Mansion he was the first to occupy, nor the ornate wooden bed he had specially fashioned for his stockinged feet. His
ghost has menaced at least two governors since he expired in that place of power, a political haunt who died with his work unfinished.

“There’s a knock at the mansion and it isn’t at the front door,” wrote Gov. Bob Scott in 1970. “It’s not the water pipes, either. While I don’t believe in ghosts, someone speculated that it just might be Governor Fowle on the prowl.”

Katy, who owns The Party Shop in Mold, Flintshire, only recalls one experience where she felt afraid.

She said: "I was down in the cellar and saw a mist form over where the bones were found.

"I thought I had something in my eye, but I rubbed it and the mist was still there.

"I asked her to go away because it was freaking me out and the mist vanished."

Did a truck driver photograph a ghost in a tunnel in Ireland

A lorry driver claims to have caught the ghost of a drowned man wandering into a tunnel in Cork, IrelandA lorry driver claims to have caught the ghost of a drowned man wandering into a tunnel during rush hour.

Stephen Smyth was taking pictures as he travelled through Cork, Ireland, with colleague George Furst.

But, after checking one of the photographs, the duo spotted what they believe could be ghostly figure.

Mr Furst, 45, said: 'When we looked at the picture Stephen suddenly said: "What the hell is that?"

'I couldn't believe my eyes - it looked like an old man wearing an old tweed coat walking down the road into the tunnel.
'What was so striking was that it was a busy road and he wasn't looking behind him or paying any attention to any of the cars.

'In fact, we must have driven right through him just after the picture was taken.'
Stephen Smyth and George Furst spotted the figure, who appears to be wearing tweed, after checking one of their photographsThe duo believe the apparition could be someone who drowned in the nearby River Lee.

Mr Furst said: 'The tunnel isn't that old so it's unlikely that it is someone who died in the tunnel. He looks a bit like a butler to me, possibly from the Downton Abbey period.'

'He looks a bit like a butler to me, possibly from the Downton Abbey period, as if he has left a nearby manor house and gone for a walk and drowned in the river.'

Mr Furst, who is originally from Liverpool but has lived in Cork for the last eight years, added that he originally wanted to send the picture to his family back in England pretending it was the Mersey tunnel.

Don’t Drive On These 27 Haunted Streets In South Carolina…Or You’ll Regret It

There’s no doubt in anyone’s minds that South Carolina holds a lot of ghosts. It’s one of the oldest states in the United States and therefore there are tons of tragedies and happenings that punctuate its history. I don’t know about you, but I’ve always thought that particularly tragic cases could leave energies behind. If that is the case…we do have a lot going on here, but if you’ve read any one of the number of books pertaining to ghosts and hauntings of South Carolina than this should not surprise you.

I have done the research and have brought to you an entire list of streets, bridges, roads, and dirt roads that you may want to avoid due to what could still be lingering there. In some cases, it’s reported that you  have to stop to see the ghost, but I have heard that even driving down these roads can feel quite eerie.
1. Cobb’s Way- Anderson: It’s said that a ghostly figure that wears a white mask appears to haunt this road. The ghost is believed to be a killer that slaughtered people in the 1500’s.

2.  Cherokee Falls Bridge-Blacksburg: This place is where the Legend of Booger Jim comes from. It’s reported that he died on this bridge in 1979 when his crazy wife, Becca, hung him from the bridge with jumper cables at around 9 p.m. They say if you stop and call his name 3 times you will hear him call back, but you won’t be able to make it out due to the fact that his throat was crushed when he was hung.

3. Rock House Road-Blacksburg: Rock House Road runs alongside King’s Mountain Battleground. It’s said that a long time ago there was a family that lived in a rock house (which still stands and can be toured one day a year.) This family had a daughter who was kept in the cellar during the day as she was different from the rest and at night she would be given a candle by her father who would let her out of the house to roam around. The story says that one night she went farther than normal, her candle went out, and she was found dead. They say if you light a candle in the darkness, her face will appear.

Unexplained howls spark Bigfoot hunt in Canada (video)

A big, hairy mystery is unfolding in a remote community off the coast of northern Vancouver Island.

Alert Bay residents have been reporting strange screams and howls coming from a forest that surrounds the town – and some think they could be coming from a sasquatch.

Mackenzie Mountain said he recently recorded the unusual sounds on his cell phone at night on the backside of Cormorant Island.
“We were on the back porch up on the back road and we heard it once, and I didn’t get the recording, and the second time I got the recording,” he said. “That was on the back porch. Very eerie.”

Mountain isn’t the only one who has heard the unsettling howls.

“This summer I’ve heard it three times, I’ve heard it scream three times. But it’s been coming here for years,” said resident Rod Alfred.

Whatever has been making the noise is heard primarily at night, and while some have dismissed it as a dog, others say that’s impossible.

“With that volume, absolutely no dog can make that kind of a noise with that volume,” said Art Dick, who has heard the sounds coming from right outside his home.

Ghost Adventures ghost-hunting couple dead in murder/suicide

SPARKS, Nev. -- Police identified the couple found dead inside an apartment on Tuesday as Mark and Debbie Constantino, local paranormal investigators featured in the Travel Channel hit series Ghost Adventures. In what police believe is a related incident, a third person was found dead in a home in northwest Reno.

The Constantinos were found inside their daughter’s apartment near Sparks High School.

SWAT teams from both Reno and Sparks police surrounded the Courtside Gardens Apartments, evacuated the complex and put it on lockdown.

Police began their investigation shortly after 6:30 a.m. when a woman arrived at a home in Escalera Court to find her male roommate dead inside, Reno Police Lt. William Rulla said. His name has not been released
Police then learned that another roommate, Debbie Constantino, was missing. Officers tracked her cellphone and found her inside the apartment in Sparks with her estranged husband.

Upon arriving at the apartment, officers knocked on the door and heard several shots fired, said Reno police deputy chief Tom Robinson.

The suspect told police "give me 15 minutes to gather my thoughts or I'll kill her," Robinson said.

Man and his dog saw a lake monster in Vermont

WILMINGTON- Lake Champlain has a “Champ,” and Loch Ness has its “Nessie,” but does Harriman Reservoir have a “Harry?”

Well, maybe. Martin Kasindorf (left)saw something unusual in the reservoir while he was sitting near the water’s edge Friday at about 2:30 pm. Kasindorf’s dogs reacted to the sight first. When they started barking, he followed their intent gaze out beyond the shoreline, less than 100 yards away from where he was sitting. In the water he saw six distinct “humps” in a curved line. “Each hump was about six inches to a foot apart,” he recalls. “It was a nice sunny afternoon, and the surface of the lake was calm. I could see the water lapping against them. My first thought was that they were rocks. But the dogs thought there was something alive out there.”

Kasindorf and his wife Irma Hawkins own the only house with frontage on Harriman Reservoir. The house, a former schoolhouse, served local schoolchildren years before Harriman Dam was built and the reservoir flooded. The house has been in Hawkins’ family since the 1950s, and the couple have been spending summers at the place since 1995.

Although the level of the lake varies, Kasindorf said he knew there should be no rocks in the spot where the humps appeared. He called out to Hawkins, who came out of the house to see the spectacle.

“At that point, the humps started moving and submerged,” Kasindorf says. “Then a few yards (to the right) I saw something straight, like a log, and brown moving quickly through the water. If it was a log, it was a log with a motor on it.”

Does a "Ghost" haunt this North Carolina Sheriff's Office ??

GREENSBORO — Deep in the halls of the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office, in the wee hours when no one’s around, things go bump in the night.

Footsteps echoing where no one’s walking. Employees hearing their names called from empty rooms. Objects that are left in one place at the end of the day and show up somewhere else in the morning. Faucets and lights turning on and off at random.

“I don’t know whether it was haunted or not, but I did hear and see some weird things,” said Maj. Tom Sheppard, who retired from the sheriff’s office two years ago.

During his time in the office, Sheppard had pencils move around on his desk and saw full pots of coffee mysteriously go empty.

“If it was a ghost, it was a benevolent ghost,” he said. “I never believed in ghosts, to be honest with you, but now I’m kind of having second thoughts.”

Otto Zenke
The building, located at 400 W. Washington St. between Eugene Street and Blandwood Avenue, isn’t
particularly old, but it does have a bit of a checkered past. Sheriff BJ Barnes and his staff have worked there since late 1995. Before that, this L-shaped building served as a furniture showroom and residence for famed interior designer Otto Zenke.

And since they moved in 20 years ago, law enforcement employees consistently have reported strange happenings. Footsteps when there’s no one in the office. Objects moving around. Names being called — loudly, distinctly — from empty rooms.

And the epicenter of all that activity seems to focus on Zenke’s master bedroom, now used as an administrative office.

“I’ve had employees that said they’ve had furniture move and things have fallen,” Col. Randy Powers said. “They’ve heard voices. It’s usually down in the front part, the older part, where (Zenke) actually lived.”

'Ghost' caught on camera singing along with child in bedroom (video)

A man who "claims" that a mysterious, ghostly voice was recently caught on video singing along with his 4-year-old daughter and moving the blankets on her bed is so terrified that he said he’s no longer willing to stay at his home — or so the story goes.

The ghoulish tale all started with a viral video that has since been removed by the user who originally posted it, though versions of the short clip are still popping up on social media, with numerous media outlets reporting on the purported phantom over the past 24 hours.

Here’s the gist of the story: A man identified as Daniel Garrett, who lives with his daughter in Toronto, Canada, said in the video’s original description that he had given his daughter his cell phone to play with while he went to the bathroom. The little girl recorded herself singing, but a male’s voice is also heard on the recording humming right along with her.

“My 4 year old daughter came and woke me up at 8 am and I left the room to go to the bathroom and she took a video on my phone with some freaky sh*t on it,” Garrett’s video description read, according to the Daily Mail. “She is babbling as children do and when she pauses you hear a male voice sing along with her and the blanket moves near the end, also at the end the male voice says ‘You’re so funny.’”

Garrett went on to say that it was the “scariest thing” that has ever happened to him, and that he and his daughter are now staying with his parents.

Ghost photographed at haunted scrap yard

Steel yourself before taking a close look at the window of the Birmingham Scrap Metal office block at Taronis, in Aston.

There is clearly a face, the tortured image captured during a routine photo-shoot. It is the country’s first scrap metal spook.

And it is yet more evidence that something not of this world is lurking in the room, used to store car parts: an eerie place where things go bumper in the night.

The hardened, five-strong work force freely admit to being scared of entering the cold, dank room.

Documents have mysteriously moved, loud bangs echo from the confined space and temperatures plunge for no reason.

Recently, the workforce arrived to find the place flooded. The source of the leak was a smashed toilet in the washroom directly above.

Yet, the compound and block are extensively alarmed. Bells should’ve rung if vandals broke-in.

Now manager Chris Ward is poised to call in a medium to discover which tormented soul is trapped among the broken motors.

The 51-year-old said: “I’d think twice about going up there at night and one guy refused to go up there at all.

“One customer came out absolutely white-faced. He claimed something had come out of the wall.”

Child told parents he was being followed by a UFO.... (video)

Child tells parents that UFO has been stalking me for weeks, so he films it to prove it

This odd footage was recorded by a nine-year-old boy who claimed a UFO had been following him every day for weeks.

The youngsters parents, who had never seen the craft initially didn't believe the boy.

But he then managed to film the bizarre object, which flies around, changes direction and eventually seems to vanish in mid-air.

After seeing the footage, which the boy captured on the parent's mobile phone, the concerned parents sent the footage to "experts" for verification.

The "experts" claim this is proof alien crafts are following children and camouflaging themselves from their parents, in a bid to abduct the child.

Claims that have left the parents shaken and concerned.

In the footage uploaded to Youtube one of the expert commentates on what is seen.

He says: "It was almost as if this craft made itself invisible to the parents and only visible to the child, who was needless to say very frightened by this thing.

"This further corroborates other stories where these UFOs follow children, presumably to abduct them.

"This craft was luckily caught on video by the child who had run in to get the parents phone, ran back out, started recording the craft in mid flight.

"You can see the craft shape shifts, it changes direction it stops before finally dematerialising."

Ghost is filmed MOVING CHAIR across floor of haunted house (video)

Ghostly goings-on have been caught on camera at a Tyneside home, a paranormal enthusiast has claimed.

Terry Johnson believes this footage, captured at a house in Gateshead is clear evidence that spirits from the afterlife are haunting the property.

The keen ‘ghost-hunter’ set-up cameras after a Rowlands Gill resident told him he suspected he was sharing his Rowlands Gill home with some uninvited ghostly guests.

And within an hour of setting-up his specialist equipment, Terry recorded footage of a chair moving entirely on its own.

The 54-year-old said: “We were just gobsmacked when we saw it. We have never had anything like that before and we haven’t stopped talking about it since. It’s the most compelling evidence we have got up to now on an investigation.

And the homeowner, who did not want to be identified, added: “It was absolutely amazing. I knew there was something not right and now he’s just proved it.”

Terry, a full-time carer from North Kenton, in Newcastle, set-up the Gateshead Paranormal Society last year with a former colleague who also had a keen interest in ghosts.

And he was approached by the homeowner earlier this year while investigating some unusual goings-on at the Red Kite pub in Winlaton Mill.

Did Marana Police just capture sound of a ghost? (video)

The Marana Police Department isn't afraid of ghosts and has the audio to prove it.

On Thursday afternoon, Marana Police posted a video to their Facebook page of a possible ghostly encounter that took place over a recent radio transmission.

According to the post, around the 19 second mark you can hear an unusual sound not identifiable to Marana's radio technician.

Some people even think the sound is speaking. Saying "stop talking to me."
But we'll let you be the judge of that.

Marana Police Department
Listen for the unusual anomaly that was recorded during this recent MPD radio transmission. Could it be a ghost? What do you hear it say? At the 19 sec mark, some people think it says "Stop talking to me."
Our radio technician listened to it and could offer no explanation. He said it was not interference or picking up another frequency.
