Friendly Ghost lives with a family in Lamar, Missouri

There is nothing unusual about the house that you would notice in driving by. It is just a typical older home — built in the early 1950s — on a residential street in Lamar, the town that is probably best known for being the birthplace of Harry S. Truman.

It has obviously been well maintained over the years, but it has that pleasant appearance of being preserved rather than brought up to date repeatedly in order to keep pace with architectural fads and fashions. Those passing by would never dream that it has a rather unusual feature.

The couple who lives there is sharing their home with a rather active, but not at all frightening, ghost.

Bill and Mary — not their real names — have lived there for more than 10 years now and became aware of their spiritual housemate during their move-in.

“What I think is funny is that the old farmhouse we lived in before moving here looked like it ought to be haunted, but nothing ever happened there. Then we bought this one, and it is the exact opposite. We were still moving in when Bill began hearing footsteps down the hallway when we were both unpacking boxes in the living room, and when he mentioned them, I heard them, too. Then on about the third or fourth load, we were unloading the pickup when Bill told me to look at the picture window, and when I did, there was a man standing in the living room watching us. There wasn’t any question of it being a real live intruder. He was hazy looking and you could see the wall across the room right through him. I could tell, though, that he had on what looked like jeans and a flannel shirt.”

Their guest, or as Mary said, “maybe we are the guests,” is rather active, but has not shown any sign of being anything but curious and benign.

“This is not one of those horror movie hauntings,” Bill said. “It is more like he is watching over us than anything else. But for some reason, he seems to spend a lot of time in the bathroom. We have actually seen him in there maybe four or five times now, and on two occasions the toilet has flushed when there was no one in there — no one living, anyway. Once it was in the middle of the night and once during the day. I don’t have any idea what that is about.

"Ghostly" goat forces woman to sell haunted home (video)

A woman claims she has been forced to sell her home in the English village of St Osyth after being haunted by a satanic goat.
Vanessa Mitchell says that her cottage - known as The Cage - has a disturbing past, the Daily Star reports.

The former medieval prison played host to a number of women accused of witchcraft during England’s persecution in the 16th century.

On her website, Mitchell says she has witnessed a number of ghost-like figures at the property since she first moved in over a decade ago.

However, the appearance of a ghostly goat has proven the final straw and Mitchell is not kidding around about selling up.

CCTV cameras at the property recently recorded what Mitchell describes as “the spitting image of a satanic devil”.

“I always knew there was something really bad there... Not just ghosts but something dark and unnatural... I could feel it," she posted on Facebook.

Mitchell also says she was pushed over and smacked on the behind while alone at the property.

“On another occasion I was pushed when I was standing in the top hallway, other times I would be sitting there and witness objects whizz across the room,” she wrote online.

Western Washington haunted house gets international attention

BOTHELL — A Western Washington home is getting international attention now that a pair of scientists from England have flown in to collect and examine unexplained phenomenon.

Keith Linder said he noticed strange things happening on the first day he moved into his Bothell home.

He constantly hears noises. Objects have been moved. Someone, or something, has even left threatening messages on his walls.

Linder said, “If they throw an object then it’s going to be a series of two weeks of objects being thrown. Then the objects get heavier.”

Linder has lived in the home for four years. He has invited a number of religious leaders over to perform cleansing ceremonies. He says they work for a couple days and the spirits keep coming back.

Now, a team of scientists from England is at his home. They brought an arsenal of ghost hunting gadgets and will collect a lot of data during a week long stay.

CIA just released UFO documents and other materials (video)

The CIA has released thousand of top secret (until now) UFO files from its archives, and UFO hunters have gone wild.

They include a number of sinister-looking pictures (which are definitely not of hubcaps or Frisbees) and detailed reports of sightings all over the world.

You can view them all at CIA.gov or click this link.

Despite the internet going into complete meltdown over the news, there are sadly no documents about close encounters with little green men, or what the US government's really doing at Area 51 (hint: it doesn't involve alien autopsies).

Writing on its website, the CIA said: "We've decided to highlight a few documents both skeptics and believers will find interesting."

One report says: "Less than 100 reasonably credible reports remain 'unexplainable' at this time. It is recommended that CIA surveillance be continued.

"It is strongly urged, however, that no reports of CIA interest or concern reach the press or public."

Celebrity Big Brother housemates feel 'spooky presence' without knowing of the death of Angie's ex-husband David Bowie.

Celebrity Big Brother housemates have discussed feeling a 'spooky presence' - just hours after news of David Bowie's death rocked the world.

It's still unknown whether housemates are aware of David's passing, with bosses having told Angie off camera earlier today.

However it appears that housemates were still in the dark about the musician's death when talking about a ghost haunting the house this morning.

The show's official Twitter revealed that Gemma Collins was the first to feel the presence before Jonathan Cheban and Tiffany Pollard agreed.

"Gemma felt a spooky presence in the night. Jonathan says there's a ghost. Tiffany: 'Oh - there's a ghost. Or two!. #BBUKLive," the first tweet reported happening at 11.54am.

David died following an 18-month battle with cancer, a posting on his official Facebook page confirmed this morning.

CBB has confirmed that Angie will stay in the house having been told about his passing off camera.

A statement read: "Following the very sad news of David Bowie's death, we can now confirm that Angie Bowie has been informed off camera by her representatives.

"The decision to remain in the House is entirely her choice, and she has been given the option to leave at any time if she changes her mind. Appropriate support will be available to Angie at any time if needed."

'Ghost of Henry VIII's beheaded wife' caught on camera

A coach driver snapped what he believes could be the ghost of one of Henry VIII's wives during a visit to Hampton Court Palace.

Trevor Tye, 45, had driven a coach-load of tourists to the royal palace but ventured in to get pictures himself while he was waiting.

It was only after returning home after taking pictures of the beautiful marble staircase in the Palace's public entrance, that he spotted what appears to be the figure of a young woman stood eerily watching down.

Henry VIII's fifth wife Catherine Howard was imprisoned at Hampton Court in 1541 before she was beheaded at the age of 21 and her ghost has been said to still haunt the palace.

Trevor claims he sent the picture to the palace, who informed him a security guard had spotted the ghost of a young woman or girl in the same spot on more than one occasion.

Trevor, from York, said: "I didn't even realise I had caught anything unusual until I got home and a friend looked at some of my pictures and said, who is that girl?"
