Dead grandfather makes appearance at baby's christening

A grandmother was left astonished after a photo posted on Facebook from her granddaughter’s christening appeared to show the ghost of her late husband.
When Heather Sewell, 50, first saw the picture she immediately spotted the apparition, bearing a striking resemblance to her late husband Terry.
The black and white face can be seen above the church font hovering over baby Mia-Bella Kennett and the rest of the family.
The bizarre image was caught on camera at St Martin’s Church, Canterbury, Kent by Mrs Sewell's son Jamie, 29, on his mobile phone.
It was only when the grandmother-of-two was looking through the photos online later that she spotted the familiar face beside the family.
Mrs Sewell, from Petham, Kent, said she could not believe the likeness to her late husband.
Terry Sewell, who worked as a labourer, died 17 years ago after committing suicide aged 41.
Mrs Sewell, who works as a taxi driver, said it was 'upsetting' to see her husband's face.

Pennsylvania man hires Hitman to kill TV "Psychics"

James Van Praagh, cough, cough,"psychic"
Craven Vaughn sat beside the hitman in a car parked Thursday outside Wal-Mart on Route 29 in Eaton Twp. He gave the man $3,000 and the names of three psychic mediums he wanted "eliminated."

The 32-year-old Towanda man did not want to talk about why the three mediums - two of them television personalities, all of them authors - had to die. But the man Mr. Vaughn spent about two weeks soliciting to kill for him had a secret of his own.

While Mr. Vaughn allegedly spoke about James Van Praagh, an author, television producer and self-proclaimed medium; Maureen Hancock, another TV medium credited with a series on the Style Channel; and David M. Baker, another professional medium who has written books, investigators from the state police and Wyoming County district attorney's office listened to the conversation, which a hidden microphone recorded.

And just moments after Mr. Vaughn got out of the car, climbed into his green Chevrolet 1500 and pulled out onto Route 29, the undercover state trooper he had just hired to kill three people on the West Coast radioed the arrest team.

Argentinians traveling Route 5 warned of “time anomalies”

Apparently several people traveling along Argentina's Route 5 have experienced the classic "missing time" scenario that many UFO abductees say they have experienced.

Drivers on the 35 km strip between the towns of Lonquimay and Anguil have reported feeling disoriented, then suddenly finding that they've driven several kilometers that they can't remember.

Local UFO researchers are warning drivers in the region about "time anomalies".

Inexplicata offers a translation of a local news report:

Two young men whose duties cause them to travel National Route No. 5 on a regular basis between the communities of Catriló and Santa Rosa reported feeling "disoriented" during the trip on three separate occasions. After several minutes had elapsed, they noticed that they continued the trip without any further incident, but without any recollection of the distance they had already covered.

ABC Reporter captures ghost at Myrtles Plantation (video)

Vanessa Bolano was putting a show together about the Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville, La., for ABC-affiliate WGNO.
Reporter Vanessa Bolano was putting together a story highlighting the history of the Myrtles Plantation when she saw what she believes may have been a ghost.

The plantation, now a bed-and-breakfast, has reportedly witnessed visits from historical figures.
“We wanted to highlight the history of the plantation … so it’s sort of interesting that we brought this find back,” Bolano told the Daily News, referring to the peculiar image her cameraman recorded in the French Room.
“This thing flew threw quickly,” said Bolano. “We have the ability to go through frame by frame. …

In one of the frames, when you stop it, it looks like the profile of a woman’s face.”

Mysterious booms rock Arizona town (news video)

COTTONWOOD, AZ (CBS5) - Jean Swesey was doing homework with her son in Cottonwood when it happened.

"It was a whole series of booms," Swesey said.

"Up to six or seven. It was fast, it went loud. We were quiet and then my daughter down the hall screams really loud, ‘Did you hear that?' I sat there for a second and I heard another set."

Swesey wasn't alone. Residents in communities in and around Verde Valley and as far as Flagstaff called 911 or their police and fire departments to report the strange booming sounds.

"It sounded like thunder, but underground," Swesey said. "Like muffled thunder. And all the dogs in the neighborhood, all of them that were outside all started barking at once."

CBS 5 News first received reports of the explosion-like noises shortly after 5 p.m. Tuesday and began checking with law enforcement and government sources. The U.S. Geological Survey reports no significant earthquake activity in Arizona that could have created the booms.

The Legend of Hotel 33 Williamsport PA (video audio)

Williamsport, PA (I-Newswire) December 6, 2012 - At present nothing is mysterious anymore. Most people don’t believe in paranormal activities. Science is upgrading day by day and proving these supernatural theories wrong. According to scientific study, thinking creates mystery in most cases. What if 33 people vanished inside of a hotel without a trace? Did they disappear into thin air? The mystery of the Grand Hotel in Williamsporthas racked people’s belief structure over the past several decades and the legend will live on for decades to come.

The first tragic, unexplained event took place on May 10, 1953 on opening night of the Grand Hotel.

Exactly 32 people attended the opening, including guests and hotel staff. By the next morning- they were all missing. Police conducted a thorough investigation, but found no evidence or possible clues leading to a viable explanation. This event struck Williamsport to the core and left the entire town devastated and confused.A commission was created and the hotel was immediately shut down and boarded up. It took a while, but people eventuallybegan to forget the inexplicable event and move on with their lives.

On January 15, 1993, wealthy real estate developer, Timothy Miller reopened the hotel, with the goal of attracting tourists as a haunted house. The opening was a big success. People familiar with the legend came to stay at the hotel in hopes of having some type of supernatural experience.

Among the curious people, were local college students, Rob Laden, Troy Belger and Jarod Carr. They set out to “Hotel 32” in hopes to see or experience something out of the ordinary.

Rodent found on Mars ?? You be the judge (video)

Was this NASA's big announcement?

Is this a living rodent on Mars?

It is indeed, as the outline of the head and shoulder, placement of the eye and ear, and shadows under the cheeks and beneath the body show. If Mars itself only evolved to the level of moss and bugs, worms in the soil, how and when did these rodents arrive?

This might have been the big historical announcement that NASA was suppose to make, however they decided life on Mars was a secret worth keeping since they don't want China or Russia to beat America to Mars. So they shut up about it and can take their time to Mars this way. The scientist jumped the gun and told the public about a major historical discovery on Mars…this must be what he was talking about.

Strange that scientists were going banana's over a discovery that was set to be announced late last weekend, but instead we were handed a lead balloon in the form of: "water and sulfur and chlorine-containing substances, among other ingredients" in the martian soil.

Ghosts of murder/suicide haunt San Francisco dorm

Not many think of SF State as the perfect setting for a horror movie or a true ghost story.

Eric Michael Jones and Catherine Anne Copeland were found dead in Copeland’s room on the third floor of Mary Ward Hall in 1994. Jones and Copeland had dated briefly, but had broken up. According to an LA Times article, Jones shot Copeland and then turned the gun on himself.

Eighteen years later, their ghosts are said to haunt the third floor.

“The first week people were telling me it’s haunted, but I haven’t noticed anything out of the ordinary. I feel normal in there,” said Alejandro Adame, 18, who lives in the infamous dorm room.

The rumors of the supernatural seem unreasonable to Adame, who is double majoring in international relations and French.

The murder-suicide that occurred in his room doesn’t bother him, but sometimes his guests become unnerved after hearing the tale.

“People are like, ‘Oh my gosh, I’m so scared being in here. What if something happens?’” Adame said.
English major Steven Tindle lives across the hall from Adame.

Ghost Hunter dies after investigation

In the past, paranormal researchers were exclusively limited to academia but in 2004 TV introduced the world to the first amateur investigators.

Understanding that knowledge and experience were all that was required for investigators the paranormal world opened up.

Over the years countless teams have exploded all-over the world. Paranormal research is making astounding strides but many are unaware of the dangers of investigating the unknown.

In 2011 Night Whispers Paranormal Research/Investigations was started in Clinton, North Carolina with a goal of investigating claims of possible paranormal activity by using a wide array of equipment and methods.

They were gathering a few like-minded friends that volunteered to be investigators.

As with many amateur investigators they were extremely well-versed at researching the paranormal but were not really aware of the dangers.

Catholic church sets up Exorcism hotline

The Catholic Church has established an exorcist hotline in Milan, its biggest diocese, to cope with demand. Monsignor Angelo Mascheroni, the diocese’s chief exorcist since 1995, said the curia had also appointed twice as many exorcists to cope with a doubling in the number of requests for help over 15 years.
“We get many requests for names, addresses and phone numbers; that’s why we’ve set up a switchboard in the curia from Monday to Friday from 2.30pm to 5pm,” he told the chiesadimilano website.

“People in need can call and will be able to find a priest in the same area who doesn’t have to travel too far.” And to that end, the number of demon-busting priests on call has increased from six to 12.

The Monsignor said he knew of one exorcist who had been seeing up to 120 people a day. “But with so little time per client he was only able to offer a quick blessing. That’s not enough,” he said. ”There should be two to four appointments a day, no more, otherwise it’s too much.”

It’s not clear why the number of suspected possessions has risen so sharply. But Monsignor Mascheroni said that part of the increase might be explained by the rising numbers of parents having difficulty controlling disobedient teenagers.

DNA claims Bigfoot part human

Genetic testing confirms the legendary Bigfoot is a human relative that arose some 15,000 years ago — at least according to a press release issued by a company called DNA Diagnostics detailing supposed work by a Texas veterinarian.

The report from Melba S. Ketchum also suggests such cryptids had sex with modern human females that resulted in hairy hominin hybrids, but the scientific community is dubious about her claim.

"A team of scientists can verify that their five-year-long DNA study, currently under peer-review, confirms the existence of a novel hominin hybrid species, commonly called 'Bigfoot' or 'Sasquatch,' living in North America," the release reads. "Researchers' extensive DNA sequencing suggests that the legendary Sasquatch is a human relative that arose approximately 15,000 years ago."

For her study, Ketchum obtained three "whole nuclear genomes from purported Sasquatch samples. The genome sequencing shows that Sasquatch mtDNA is identical to modern Homo sapiens, but Sasquatch nuDNA is a novel, unknown hominin related to Homo sapiens and other primate species." (Mitochondrial DNA, or mtDNA, is the DNA that resides in the cell's energy-producing structures, and is typically passed down from mothers, while nuclear DNA, nuDNA, resides in the cells' nuclei and is passed down from both parents to offspring.)

"Our data indicate that the North American Sasquatch is a hybrid species, the result of males of an unknown hominin species crossing with female Homo sapiens," the statement reads.

Serbian council issues Vampire alert

Sales of garlic are booming in western Serbia after the local council issued a public health warning that a vampire was on the loose.

The warning came after an old ruined mill said to once have been the home of the country's most famous monster in the form of vampire Sava Savanovic collapsed.

Sava Savanovic was said to have lived in the old watermill on the Rogacica river, at Zarozje village in the municipality of Bajina Basta where he drank the blood of anybody that came to mill their grain.

The watermill was bought by the local Jagodic family, and they were too scared to use it as a mill – but discovered it was a goldmine when they started advertising for tourists to come and visit it – always during the day.

But the family were worried about carrying out building work on the mill because they were scared they might disturb the vampire or unleash his wrath if his home was messed around with – and now the property has collapsed through lack of repair.

But for locals it has sparked rumours that the vampire is now free once again.

Local mayor Miodrag Vujetic admitted: "People are worried, everybody knows the legend of this vampire and the thought that he is now homeless and looking for somewhere else and possibly other victims is terrifying people. We are all frightened".

Man films fast moving UFO over Denver (video)

DENVER –  It’s a mile high mystery in the skies over Denver.

Strange objects caught on camera flying over the city and nobody can explain it.

We first learned about these sightings when a metro area man, who does not want to be identified brought us his home video. He captured the images on his digital camera from a hilltop in Federal Heights looking south toward downtown Denver.

He said, “The flying objects appear around noon or 1:00 p.m. at least a couple of times a week.” The strangest part is they are flying too fast to see with the naked eye, but when we slowed down the video, several UFOs appear.

Ghost captured on video at Pub (video)

WHEN the landlady calls time, she is the visitor who refuses to leave.

A spooky spirit affectionately dubbed "Beryl" has been causing mischief at The Manchester Arms in Hull.

She flickers lights, turns off machines, plays with hair, causes floods and has even been captured on CCTV.

Lisa and Mark Fowler took over the Old Town pub ten weeks ago

and have been experiencing some spooky goings-on ever since.

"Sometimes, it feels like someone is running fingers through your hair," said Lisa, 38.

"Other times, it feels like someone is ehind you, but when you turn round, you catch a shadow in the corner of your eye but nothing is there.

"Then I couldn't believe it when I saw the CCTV footage."

On the evening of November 1, Lisa had been preparing to go to bed, in the family's home above the pub, when she went into the office to check the computers.

What is the origin of the Jack-'O'-Lantern

The term jack- o’-lantern was first applied not to pumpkins, but people. As far back as 1663, the term meant a man with a lantern, or a night watchman. Just a decade or so later, it began to be used to refer to the mysterious lights sometimes seen at night over bogs, swamps, and marshes.

These ghost lights—variously called  jack-o’-lanterns, hinkypunks, hobby lanterns, corpse candles, fairy lights, will-o’-the-wisps, and fool’s fire—are created when gases from decomposing plant matter ignite when they come in contact with electricity or heat or as they oxidize. For centuries before there was this scientific explanation, people told stories to explain the mysterious lights. In Ireland, dating as far back as the 1500s, those stories often revolved around a guy named Jack.

Legend Has It

As the story goes, Stingy Jack, often described as a blacksmith, invited the Devil to join him for a drink. Stingy Jack didn’t want to pay for the drinks from his own pocket, and convinced the Devil to turn himself into a coin that could be used to settle the tab. The Devil did so, but Jack skipped out on the bill and kept the Devil-coin in his pocket with a silver cross so the Devil couldn’t shift back to his original form. Jack eventually let the Devil loose, but made him promise that he wouldn’t seek revenge on Jack, and wouldn’t claim his soul when he died.

Couple photograph spooky green figure in Scotland

A STUNNED couple yesterday told how they captured a spooky green man on camera at their home.

Gary and Amanda Linney said the strange figure was spotted running away from their cottage as they experimented with a new camera.

The bizarre snaps emerged just days after another family claimed to have filmed a UFO floating above their house about 25 miles away.

Former policeman Gary, 52, said there was no explanation for the figure.

He said: “It looks like a little green man running. It just disperses into the surface of the road.

“If you look closely, you can see a head. It’s very surreal. I was a policeman and a pilot for 20 years and have never seen anything like this before.”

Hotel owners Gary and Amanda, 46, from Collieston, Aberdeenshire, tried to recreate the picture but have never seen the strange light since.

First Televised Exorcism (video)

First Televised Exorcism! Recorded in Chicago, IL on NBC in 1971. Just in time to creep you out at Halloween, Here is the original video that inspired last night's episode of Paranormal Witness on the Syfy channel

"The Tenants" reexamines Chicago newlyweds Edwin and Marsha Becker become homeowners for the first time after buying a "two-flat" in 1970. .Soon after moving in, paranormal activity--flickering lights, plates flying out of kitchen cabinets--kicks in and Marsha realizes that there are ghostly tenants living in the house with them.

While rooting around in the basement, Ed discovers sinister secrets about the house's former occupants. When the paranormal activity reaches an all-time high, the Beckers organize an exorcism, which becomes the first nationally televised exorcism in the U.S. when it is broadcast by NBC in April 1971.

Some of the other paranormal phenomenon experienced by the Beckers, included the independent opening and closing of doors. The Beckers also said the string holding their bathtub plug would wrap itself around the faucet, house keys would be moved, the telephone would come off the hook and the mixer flew off the wall. They also heard a crying woman.

The video below shows NBC News correspondent Carole Simpson's report of the haunting and exorcism conducted by nationally known psychic Joseph DeLouise and Rev. William Derl-Davis.

Pennsylvania mans RV attacked by Bigfoot (video)

A Pennsylvania man has his eye on a large, furry and elusive suspect who he accused of vandalizing his 1973 Dodge Winnebago.

John Reed, a self-described Bigfoot tracker since the age of 10, said he was camping with his girlfriend when he saw the creature walk past his motor home window.

Reed said the Bigfoot, also known as Sasquatch, reportedly threw rocks at his mobile home’s outside light to escape discovery.

Reed, who is the founder of the Lykens Valley Sasquatch Hunters, and his girlfriend, jumped into their truck and gave chase, making special ‘Bigfoot calls’ to locate the creature.

“As soon as I did it, something stood up on her side of the truck,” he said.  ”She seen the eyes glaring in the light of the truck, stood up and walked this way into the woods.”

This alleged sighting is the third time Reed said he has come into contact with the creature.

Ghosts of Galveston Texas (video)

HOUSTON — Tourists come to Galveston to enjoy the sun and sand, but the island also has a dark side. In fact, many say it’s a playground for the paranormal with supernatural sightings all year round.

Dash Beardsley, the Ghost man of Galveston, says the small stretch of land has seen more than its fair share of death, destruction and horror -- especially during the Great Storm of 1900.

Beardsley says it’s no surprise a ghost of the Great Storm haunts Luigi’s Italian Restaurant on 24th and The Strand.

“A school marm stepped right out of that front window, stood out on the ledge, reached out and grabbed people as they were floating by,” Beardsley said.

According to legend, the woman who tried to save others died on the third floor of the building. Many believe her soul is still around.

Just across the street at the Mediterranean Chef Restaurant, the falafel is fresh and the ghost sightings are frequent.

“I would never spend the night in here, I would tell you that much,” said owner Maxen Zeidan.

UFO buzzes Scotland home for five hours (video)

An Aberdeenshire family were left terrified after a UFO invaded the skies above their home for nearly five hours.

Grandmother Morag Ritchie, 50, awoke suddenly at 2am on Saturday to see strange lights circling in the distance a few hundred yards from her rural property near Fraserburgh.

In the video, taken by her daughter's fiancee, Scott Bower, a row of flickering lights can be seen hovering in the sky, before one of the lights moves off to the right and disappears.

Ritchie, who woke up her family to witness the event, said: "I saw lights in the sky and thought it was a strange looking star. When I looked closer, I realised they were moving in a spinning motion and then occasionally something shot off to the side. I kept going back to my bed but I was so unsettled that I continued waking up.

"When Scott looked at it, he was shocked; he didn’t think it was real. Even my husband, who is very sceptical, was convinced there was something strange going on."

The group ventured outside to film the paranormal object that was seen occupying the same spot for almost five hours.

Michievous ghost haunts British bistro

Although the other two members are a bit more sceptical, café bar owner Kim Hart is sure paranormal activity is afoot.

And now she is appealing for others with similar experiences or history surrounding the former Ancient House, in the Thoroughfare, Halesworth, to come forward.

Mrs Hart was told of the building’s haunted past when she took it on as The Bay Tree Bistro, Cafe and Bar in February 2010, and in more than two and half years she has seen a number of strange goings on herself.

“It made me a little bit nervous, but I’ve lived in other haunted places, so it’s not big issue,” she said.

“I did not expect it to be quite so playful. Only two times it has been scary, the rest of the time it is just mischievous.”

Mrs Hart, of Holton, said that her family have seen electrical items mysteriously turn themselves off, voices in the bar area and she saw two ghosts. Customers have also experienced strange events.

“Things in the window were swaying the other day and when we went to stop them they almost fought back,” she said.

“I’ve seen two ghosts in the kitchen. One was clearly a man, the other was when I thought my daughter was over my shoulder but when I looked around she wasn’t there, and we were the only two in the building.”

Mysterious eyeball washes ashore in Florida (video)

Taking his usual morning stroll along the surf in Pompano Beach, Gino Covacci noticed a strange ball-like object at the high tide line. He kicked it over and found himself staring at the biggest eyeball he had ever seen.

The blue, softball-sized orb he found Wednesday was a departure from the shells, cigarette butts and seaweed he usually sees. He put it in a plastic bag and put that in the refrigerator.

"It was very, very fresh," he said Thursday. "It was still bleeding when I put it in the plastic bag."

He notified a police officer, who gave him the phone number for the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. No one could say immediately what species the giant eye came from.

Wildlife officers placed the eyeball on ice. It will be preserved in formalin, a mixture of formaldehyde and water, before being sent for analysis to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute in St. Petersburg, said Carli Segelson, spokeswoman for the wildlife commission.

So what creature is now swimming around with an eye patch?

Top neurosurgeon "spent 6 days in the afterlife" (video)

Dr. Eben Alexander has taught at Harvard Medical School and has earned a strong reputation as a neurosurgeon. And while Alexander says he's long called himself a Christian, he never held deeply religious beliefs or a pronounced faith in the afterlife.

But after a week in a coma during the fall of 2008, during which his neocortex ceased to function, Alexander claims he experienced a life-changing visit to the afterlife, specifically heaven.

"According to current medical understanding of the brain and mind, there is absolutely no way that I could have experienced even a dim and limited consciousness during my time in the coma, much less the hyper-vivid and completely coherent odyssey I underwent," Alexander writes in the cover story of this week's edition of Newsweek.

So what exactly does heaven look like?

Alexander says he first found himself floating above clouds before witnessing, "transparent,
shimmering beings arced across the sky, leaving long, streamer like lines behind them."

He claims to have been escorted by an unknown female companion and says he communicated with these beings through a method of correspondence that transcended language. Alexander says the messages he received from those beings loosely translated as:

"You are loved and cherished, dearly, forever."

"You have nothing to fear."

"There is nothing you can do wrong."

Sasquatch sighting by berry picker in Canada

Two women in Nunavik had an unusual encounter while berry picking on Saturday.

Maggie Cruikshank Qingalik, who is from Akulivik, Que., said her friend saw some kind of creature out in the wilderness.

Qingalik said at first, they thought it was another person picking berries. Then they noticed it was covered in long, dark hair.

She said it was walking upright along the side of a hill, and was taking long strides. They said it would also sometimes crawl.

“We weren't sure what it was first. It is not a human being, it was really tall, and kept coming towards our direction and we could tell it was not a human,” she said.

Qingalik said the creature was 10 to 15 feet tall. Pictures posted on Facebook show the alleged footprints are 40 centimetres long.

The women said the creature didn’t appear vicious, nor did it appear interested in them.

Understandably for such a sighting, the women got scared, hopped on their ATV, and headed back to the community to warn people about what they saw.

Loren Coleman, the director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine, has been studying sasquatch and Bigfoot sightings in North America for more than 50 years.

Pennsylvania witness describes 'massive, circular' UFO

A Pennsylvania witness at Phoenixville reports watching a "massive, circular craft" that seemed to change shape as it moved overhead just after midnight on October 1, 2012, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

(side-note) The 1958 science-fiction horror movie “The Blob” with Steve McQueen was filmed in Phoenixville PA.

The witness was standing in his backyard at the time when he first noticed the object.

"As it made its way into my full view, I noticed it seemed to look like a very large over-sized jet with white lights - at least three on each side - of what at first appeared to be wings, as well as red lights on the under belly of the craft," the witness stated. "As this object started to pass above me I remember thinking this plane is huge."

But then the object's shape appeared to change.

"This object appeared to change shape or the clouds moved around and away from it. The craft may have rotated or changed direction at this point, it was all so breathtaking I was just in shock of what I was seeing. I could have possibly been seeing some sort of cloaking technology."

Jane Goodall is fascinated with BIGFOOT (video)

The most famous primatologist in the world is ape about Bigfoot.

Jane Goodall made her name studying chimpanzees in Africa and by discovering that they, like humans, use tools.

Since then, she has been working to preserve their decreasing numbers via the Jane Goodall Insititute. She also admitted to an interest in the mysterious creature known as Bigfoot, Sasquatch or the Yeti.

"I'm not going to flat-out deny its existence," Goodall said during an exclusive interview with The Huffington Post before a benefit dinner in La Jolla, Calif. "I'm fascinated and would actually love them to exist.

"Of course, it's strange that there has never been a single authentic hide or hair of the Bigfoot, but I've read all the accounts."

"I've talked to so many native Americans who all describe the same sounds, two who have seen them.

I've probably got about, oh, 30 books that have come from different parts of the world, from China from, from all over the place, and there was a little tiny snippet in the newspaper just last week which says that British scientists have found what they believed to be a yeti hair and that the scientists in the Natural History Museum in London couldn't identify it as any known animal," she told interviewer Ira Flatow.

Seattle Attorney claims to have Time Traveled

VANCOUVER, Wash. - The new Bruce Willis movie "Looper" opens this weekend, in which Willis' character is sent back in time to kill himself.

And while most scientists say time travel isn't possible, a Washington attorney claims he's done it dozens of times as part of a secret Cold War project.

"I have physically traveled in time," says Andrew Basiago, an attorney in Vancouver, Wash. "We have - we did over 40 years ago."

Now Basiago is on a mission - to reveal what he calls a 40-year government cover-up - of Project Pegasus - where he says he was teleported back and sideways in time, dozens of times.

"I have the whole story, I have hundreds of facts," he says. "I can tell you what personnel were at what locations where and which travel device was being used."

And his time travel wasn't recent - it's when he was a kid.

"I entered the program officially in the fall of 1969 as a third grader, age 7," says Basiago.

Meet "Nesskie" the Russian Loch Ness Monster

Russian academics are calling for a scientific probe into claims of a 'Siberian Loch Ness monster' in one of the world's remotest lakes.

Researchers using underwater scanners have found evidence of 'Nesski' - measuring up to 33 feet in length - in the deep waters of Lake Labynkyr, says a new report.

Intriguingly, the evidence is at a lake where native Evenk and Yakut people have long claimed an underwater creature lurks.

The evidence includes a picture which, it is claimed, shows the monster, says the Siberian Times.
Known as ‘the Devil', testimony dating back to the 19th century says the monster has enormous jaws.

Associate Professor Lyudmila Emeliyanova, of Moscow State University, told The Siberian Times that on her own scientific mission to Labynkyr she recorded ‘several seriously big underwater objects’ with sonar readings.

Images have also recently emerged from a 2006 scientific trip to the lake when strange objects - one of 21ft 4in (6.5 metres) in length - were recorded on a Humminbird Piranha MAX 215 Portable fish-finder at a depth of 138 to 197 feet.

Based on the sonic readings, researchers drew how the creature might look in real-life on the fish-finder's screen.

Several months ago a family moved into a house in Tom's River N.J. after one week they moved out claiming the house was haunted, the landlord was not to happy. Cigar UFO reported hovering over Indiana town just 'disappeared'

An Illinois witness traveling west along Route 150 in Bloomington reports watching a "skinny, cigar-shaped object" about 10:40 a.m., September 16, 2012, according to testimony from the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) witness reporting database.

The woman and her husband, who was driving, report they are familiar with common aircraft that they have observed in this area over a 30-year period and could not identify this object. They were returning home from a drive in the country.

"We were on our way back home driving west on Route 150," the reporting witness stated. "We had just left the Freedom Gas Station on the corner of Towanda/Barnes Road and 150. I glanced at the time on the car clock and it's 10:38 a.m."

The woman saw an object in the sky with no wings.

"I am just trying to figure out why I can't see the wing and what type of new plane it is. It was so skinny, oblong and reflective. Then I determine that we are almost parallel and I must not be able to see the wing because it's just blending with side of the body of the plane, since we were both but not quite level with one another."

At this point the witness is able to get a good look at the object.

Bigfoot family spotted near Canada’s Wunnumin Lake?

Photo taken this past August by young girl
Through the years and through verbal stories passed on from ancestors within the area known as Wunnumin Lake, there have been tales and legends of beings not entirely human being sighted and being in contact with local folk.

Over the past few years there have been sightings and evidence of a mythical creature known as Bigfoot or Sasquatch.

A few years ago a group of three young women were blueberry picking in a spot where it is not easily accessible for any machine to travel. Suddenly a large rock came crashing near where they were picking.

One of them was sitting a little ways away and they went to ask her if that was her who did that.
She was perplexed and asked if they were playing games with her. They realized that “someone” threw a rock at them with no one even close by, and ran from the area knowing it might be a Sasquatch.

Another sighting was near the gravel pit a few years ago when someone saw a glimpse of a tall, hairy creature standing at the gravel pit but only for an instant as they were driving by.

Another time a sewage truck driver was making an early evening deposit out past the airport (it was dark already) when he spotted some huge person or something coming towards him on the road.

The smell was getting worse, not from the sewage but from the creature. He made a u-turn and came back.

Strange humming keeps West Seattle awake (video & audio)

Julie Schickling stood out on her porch in West Seattle just after midnight because she couldn't explain what she was hearing. So she recorded the sound (listen here on West Seattle Blog).

"It gets high and lower, and goes away, then comes back," said Schickling.

Some of her neighbors report being shaken out of bed by the low rumble, also described as a  growl. In fact, as many people you talk with is about how many different words you heard to describe it.

"It is kind of creepy," Kay Kirkpatrick, the West Seattle resident said of the sound. "It creeps you out a little bit."

The haunted couch of Waco, Texas. (news video)

(KCEN) -- If a pipe breaks you call a plumber,  if your car breaks down you take it to a mechanic, so who do you call if you think your house is haunted?

One store is actually selling what they believe is a haunted piece of furniture.

Consignment Furniture in Waco has a couch from the 50's they say erased information from a computer and possibly even caused a death.

When it comes to paranormal activity, there are two types of people, believers and skeptics.
Dean McNeil is a believer.

"My close friend of 30 years, he passed away not long after we took in the couch, it's a bad luck couch," says McNeil co-owner of Consignment Furniture.

Man dressed as Sasquatch killed (news video)

KALISPELL, MONTANA - A man wearing a Sasquatch suit died after being struck by two cars Sunday evening on U.S. Highway 93 south of Kalispell.

The Flathead County Coroner has identified the victim as Randy Lee Tenley, 44, of Kalispell.

Montana Highway Patrol Trooper Jim Schneider says friends of the victim said Tenley was wearing a military-style camouflage ghillie suit in hopes of creating a Bigfoot hoax.

Schneider said Tenley was first hit by a 15-year-old Somers girl driving in the right southbound lane who said she couldn't get out of the way. Tenley was then struck by again by another Somers teen's car as his body lay on the road.

"It's still a crash involving vehicles and a pedestrian. So we're still doing the same investigation, but once we started speaking to parties, then someone involved in it, trying to ascertain exactly what brought that gentleman out to Highway 93 ... I would not guess that would motivate anybody to be out on Highway 93," Scheider said.

Was there a Stone Age Zombie Apocolypse

The zombie apocalypse may be much more than a plot device exploited by modern horror movies. In fact, fears about the walking dead may go back all the way to the Stone Age.

Archaeologists working in Europe and the Middle East have recently unearthed evidence of a mysterious Stone Age "skull-smashing" culture, according to New Scientist. Human skulls buried underneath an ancient settlement in Syria were found detached from their bodies with their faces smashed in. Eerily, it appears that the skulls were exhumed and detached from their bodies several years after originally being buried. It was then that they were smashed in and reburied separate from their bodies.

According to Juan José Ibañez of the Spanish National Research Council in Barcelona, the finding could suggest that these Stone Age "skull-smashers" believed the living were under some kind of threat from the dead. Perhaps they believed that the only way of protecting themselves was to smash in the corpses' faces, detach their heads and rebury them apart from their bodies.

But here's the creepy thing: many of the 10,000-year-old skulls appear to have been separated from their spines long after their bodies had already begun to decompose. Why would this skull-smashing ritual be performed so long after individuals had died? Did they only pose a threat to the living long after their original burial and death?

New Zealand family calls in ghostbusters

The family of six moved into the house in January, and say coffee tables have moved, wardrobe doors slam by themselves, the shower turns on and off, they hear footsteps on the stairs, and the children have seen "apparitions".

In May 2010, a mother and her two teenage daughters were found dead in the two-storey Avonhead house. Four days later, the father was found dead in his car nearby.

The new tenants took over the five-bedroom house this year and were a "little nervous" when the real estate agent told them what had happened. Now they say "strange things" started happening from day one.

The 41-year-old father of the household, who did not want to be named, said he was not a strong believer in the supernatural but things were happening that they couldn't explain. "We're not drug- addicted hippies who hang wind chimes from the trees, we're an average, normal family. But all six of us, and even the dog, have been picking up weird things."

Despite trying to "keep the children out of it", he said his five- year-old daughter had been seen talking to herself in the mirror and later came downstairs and said she had been speaking to a "little girl".

Alien Slime appears on Scottish hillsides

BAFFLED hillwalkers fear ALIENS have landed — after mysterious slime started appearing in the countryside.

They have discovered a strange jelly... and some experts believe it’s landed from space.

The first report of an unidentified fluid object was in the Pentland Hills near Edinburgh, triggering a flood of similar sightings.

Now National Geographic Channel documentary Wild X Files attempts to solve the mystery after they had the weird samples analysed by scientists.

Paranormal investigator Steve Mera is convinced he was dealing with aliens after a sample he collected DISAPPEARED.

He said: “I was dumbfounded. I had no idea what it was.

“I thought ‘let’s get some samples.’ The next morning, I saw the sample jar and I did a double take as there was nothing in it. It was there the night before, now it was empty.” Steve was sure he was dealing with star jelly left over from a meteor shower. He said: “It comes from space.”

Daughter lifts 1.5 ton car to save father (news video)

Lauren Kornacki learned CPR several times.

The 22-year-old just graduated from Mary Washington with a physics degree, but while looking for work, she decided to return to something familiar to earn a little money.

On Saturday Lauren used what she learned to save her father's life.

Lauren's father, Alec, was working on his car, a BMW 525i.

The jack slipped and the car fell on top of him.

Lauren was on her way out the door when she came upon him, unconscious and crushed.

"As I go to open the garage door I hear a primal scream, like…dial 911!" said Lauren's mother, Liz.
That scream was Lauren discovering her father.

"There was no tire," said Lauren. Seconds later, she did what most would consider unthinkable, she moved a car weighing a ton and a half off her father's body.

Matt Damon, Michael Douglas "spooked" by haunted movie set

Matt Damon and Michael Douglas are said to be convinced that their new movie set is haunted.

The two stars have been shooting for ‘Behind the Candelabra’, which is about the life of famed pianist Liberace.

The duo is convinced that there is some supernatural activity going on around them and a male spirit has been watching them work.

“The movie centres around Liberace’s last years with his young bodyguard/live-in lover, Scott Thorson, and several times during filming, Damon and Douglas turned to each other after a scene and said, ‘Did you feel that?,” quoted a source as telling National Enquirer.

“They swear they’ve felt cold damp air swish by, reeking of a potent men’s cologne.

Douglas portrays Liberace in the release, while Damon plays the role of Scott.

300 million year old screw,..Who Built It?

In the summer of 1998, Russian scientists who were investigating an area 300 th southwest of Moscow on the remains of a meteorite, discovered a piece of rock which enclosed an iron screw.  Geologists estimate that the age of the rock is 300-320 million years.
At that time there were no  intelligent life forms on earth, not even dinosaurs  The screw, which is clearly visible in the head and nut, has a length of about cm and a diameter of about three millimeters.

Scientists initially thought that the screw was in a farm machine.  But the screw was firmly fixed in the rock.

The case of "error" was excluded because in addition, as shown by subsequent studies, the screw is there really a huge amount of time, since the iron atoms of the screw and the atoms of silicon (from which the rock consists mainly) have spread across the two ylika.Oi X-rays revealed that exist within the rock bolts and similar .. as well as two small round balls that have square holes.
This finding has been studied intensively in various scientific institutions of Russia - from geologists, physicists, paleontologists, mineralogists and proved that the screw was in the sediment before it is mounted on a rock.  All technicians who examined the findings are convinced that the screw has been artificially constructed and not a product of a natural process.

Kate Winslet "Ghost Admirer" burns down cottage

A cottage previously owned by actress Kate Winslet burned to the ground and while local officials suspect arson it was reported today by Local Cornish newspapers that local rumors in Tintagel are suggesting that the “Winslet Ghost” started the fire.

Suggestions have linked the Ghost with the fire at Necker Island the Luxury Caribbean Private Island home of Sir Richard Branson in the British Virgin Islands which mysteriously burned to the ground when Kate Winslet was staying there.

The Winslet Cottage was originally occupied by the engineer of the Camelot Castle Hotel as it housed the generators for Camelot Castle. Camelot Castle was one of the first buildings in England to boast full Electric lighting in 1899.

The story locally is that the engineer returned to haunt the cottage after his death and when Kate Winslet bought the property the Ghost fell madly in love with the starlet. It seems that in death the ghost’s romantic fortune fared no better than can sometime occur in life. As is so often the way in love stories the Ghosts love and passion was apparently unrequited by Kate Winslet who sold the property some months later and married the film director Sam Mendes and so the “Winslet Ghost”, perhaps feeling snubbed or feeling somewhat jilted has been a sombre specter and is according to local rumor occupying the house. Curiously several attempts to secure planning to rebuild and develop the site have failed. No one has lived in the property since.

Although on very dark nights and sometimes when the moon rises above Tintagel lights have been seen.

New Loch Ness Monster photo "Surfaces"

A PHOTOGRAPH of a dark grey shape rising out of the water has been hailed as the clearest picture yet of the elusive Loch Ness Monster.

Loch Ness cruise boat operator and veteran Nessie hunter George Edwards yesterday published his photograph, which drew praise from a fellow monster expert, who described it as the best evidence that Nessie exists.

However, a rival monster hunter raised doubts about the shape in Mr Edwards’s photograph being Nessie, accusing him of faking a previous picture of the monster 26 years ago.

Mr Edwards, who runs Drumnadrochit-based Loch Ness Cruises, said he had taken the new photograph from his boat near Urquhart Castle at 9am on 2 November last year.

He explained it had not been published before, because he had sent it for analysis to check the object was not inanimate.

Steve Feltham, who has been searching for Nessie for 21 years from Dores, further up the loch, said: “It is the best photograph I think I have ever seen.

“I think the images are fantastic — that’s the animal I have been looking for all this time.

Manhattan's stunning Hotel Walcott has a ghostly past

Hotel Wolcott relies on history, value - and the occasional haunting- to keep guests coming.

Some guests say they’ve seen children playing; employees have heard a phantom radio.

Every building needs a shepherd, especially magnificent historic ones that may or may not have a couple of friendly ghosts running around.

Hotel Wolcott got lucky. Its shepherd is Scott Erlich, whose family has owned and carefully restored the 1904-built structure since 1975. Designed originally as a hotel by John H. Duncan, the architect of Grant's Tomb, the Wolcott was lost by its original developer, who hit hard financial times - something today's real estate pros know a thing about.
"I am trying to make everything look as original as possible," says Erlich. "Just one look at this building and you know it's special. So many people stayed here over the years. Titanic survivors, important businessmen. Then in the 1950s and '60s, musicians who recorded at Beltone Studios, like Buddy Holly, the Everly Brothers and Miles Davis, stayed at the hotel. No rooms are cookie-cutter.
