South Carolina is prime real estate for Bigfoot

Bigfoot. Sasquatch. Yeti. The Abominable Snowman. Stories of large, hairy creatures appearing to be half man and half ape have been told around campfires for hundreds of years.

In the folklore of some Native American tribes, the beasts are said to be peaceful, supernatural beings with intelligence and spiritual powers. Other tribes, however, describe them as malevolent creatures who attack humans, play dangerous tricks, or steal children.

For obvious reasons, the vast majority of mainstream scientists maintain that the existence of such creatures is impossible. Yet thousands of people have claimed to spot the mysterious hominids roaming the woods of North America since the 1800s.

Eyewitness reports describe the creatures as bipedal primates that are 6 to 10 feet tall and weigh at least 500 pounds. The footprints left behind by Bigfoot (a singular and plural term) range in size from about 12 to 22 inches long. They are also thought to be non-aggressive creatures, whose human-like intelligence and shyness make them elusive and thus rarely seen.

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) - We’ve all heard the stories of Bigfoot: people saying they’ve seen the legendary beast all over the country, and now, another sighting in the Golden State.

According to paranormal expert Jeffrey Gonzalez, the most recent sighting was near Avocado Lake.

Gonzalez says a local farmer saw a family of five or six Bigfoot running on his ranch in the middle of the night.

“One of them, which was extremely tall, had a pig over its shoulder. And the five scattered and the one with the pig was running so fast it didn’t see an irrigation pipe and it tripped, with the pig flying over,” says Gonzalez.

This story intrigued Gonzalez but did not surprise him.

In the last five years, there have been three Bigfoot sightings, all in the same area in East Fresno County.

“I would have never guessed in a million years that you would have told me there were Bigfoot on Shields or Ashlan Avenue. Right? So, I want to know what’s going on. Is this for real?” says Gonzalez.

Hiker records footage of Bigfoot in Utah (video)

A hiker recently posted a video on YouTube claiming that he captured a video of Bigfoot while exploring the Utah mountains. In the footage, the hiker seems to be startled by a strange figure that he found lurking in a wooded area across from where he was hiking, the Belfast Telegraph reported today.

YouTube user Mountain Hiker uploaded a video of what he believes to be Bigfoot last week. He claims that he was hiking in the Utah mountains when he saw the legendary creature.

"I was up American Fork Canyon near Tibble Creek Reservoir. I thought I saw something a few minutes before when I was a little further away. It kinda scared me but I figured it was probably just a moose, elk, or maybe a bear. The area is pretty forested and I wasn't quite sure where the animal was. I only saw it for a second before it disappeared behind some trees. I had to walk through some snow and trees to get to where I start the recording," the hiker said.

Bigfoot seen walking through Yellowstone National Park (video)

BOZEMAN - A YouTube video quickly picks up steam and views online of what the user says appears to be Bigfoot roaming through Yellowstone National Park.


User Mary Greeley posted the video on her YouTube channel at the end of December and it has garnered about 25,000 views since then.

Yellowstone National Park Spokesperson Al Nash says such sightings occur from time to time.

"Bigfoot sightings are not frequent, but it happens. People say a lot of crazy things about Yellowstone all the time and Bigfoot is just one of them."

The Bigfoot Field Researchers Organizations reports Montana has a total of 43 reported Bigfoot sightings since it was founded in 1995.

Womans's reports of seeing a monster were not taken seriously

Charmaine Fraser, 41, claims to have seen a Bigfoot near a disused sandstone quarry during a morning walk with her gran’s dog as a child.

She has now gone public on her sighting and wants people to help her prove the existence of the mysterious creatures.

Charmaine, who is orginally from Monikie and now lives in Edinburgh, said she saw the 7ft, black beast with no neck and broad shoulders in Carmyllie in the early 1980s.

She told The Courier: “I was with the dog and we were coming down the path that leads to the track running past the bottom of the property and out to the farm road.

“Just before I got on to the track, the dog stopped suddenly and started to growl, whine and bare her teeth.
“I looked up to see a large black figure further along the track standing with its back to me.

“It was reaching up to a branch on a tree at the side of the track and was tall, of thick build with no neck and wide shoulders.

Russian Yeti Caught On Video Walking Through Snow (video)

This is the moment a group of Russians captured video footage of what they believed was a Yeti walking through the woods.

The footage shows a 'bear-like' figure covered in hair emerging from an area of snow-covered trees in the south-western Adygeya Republic before disappearing again seconds later.

A team had set out in search of the mysterious creature after local television reported that it had been sighted in a remote region an hour's drive away from the city of Adygeisk.

They said they had questioned residents at a mountainside lodge who claimed to have seen it - and on speaking to others in the area managed to secure reports of several independent sightings.

The group claim they heard the crunching of snow as they headed out to investigate before capturing footage of the creature, which they describe as covered in hair.

Afterwards, they took a plaster cast of a large footprint they said they found in the snow.

Eyewitness Ludmila Hristoforova who spoke to local television said: 'The creature was big, looking like a bear, but not a bear. From the door we've seen something big and shaggy.'

Homeowner Andrei Kazarian said: 'I heard footsteps and we were pretty sure there was no one else around because we knew for sure everyone else was inside the house. 'Although we didn't see anyone we saw its huge footprints. They were five to six centimetres deep and couldn't come from a human foot.

Family of Sasquatches Spotted by Arizona Highway Cameras

A suspicious pack of what appeared to be a group of large animals has sparked a viral debate about a possible sasquatch sighting in Arizona.

The Arizona Department of Transportation was behind the latest announcement -- and conspiracy theories began to grow after they posted a photo from a highway patrol camera. 

It wasn't Big Foot enthusiasts reading too deeply into a suspicious photo; the government officials were the ones to suggest that something sinister -- and mysterious -- was going on. 

"We might have spotted a family of sasquatches on SR 260 near Heber this afternoon. What do you think?" the Department of Transportation wrote in the caption of the photo it posted to their official Facebook page on Jan. 1. 

The post was shared nearly 3,000 times. 

The more than 2,000 comments ranged from true believers to those concerned with the well-being and supposed mythological powers of the rarely spotted beings, but eventually the department put the speculation to an end, admitting it was just meant to be humorous.

Man claims to photograph Bigfoot bathing in Florida

One occupational hazard of reporting on unexplained phenomena: You can always count on waking up in the morning to find an email from someone swearing that they've just seen Bigfoot, the Loch Ness Monster, a hybrid human alien or a UFO on the moon.

2015 began with a photo from John Rodriguez, a 66-year-old retired electrician, who claims that he was fishing Dec. 26 on the Hillsborough River near northeast Tampa, Florida, and came upon an incredible sight.

"I fish for gar in the river and I bring my camera to take pictures of the birds and what not. I heard a squishing sound, looked over and saw this thing walking through the water and crouch down in the duck weed. It did not look like a guy in a suit -- it was definitely an animal. I took this picture and got out of there as fast as I could."

Rodriguez claims to have seen and photographed -- in a completely clear and non-blurry moment -- that tall, hairy, elusive creature often reported in North America and other parts of the world that goes by many names: Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti. In Florida, it's known as the Swamp Ape or Skunk Ape (primarily from descriptions of an extremely pungent odor it supposedly gives off).

Bigfoot threw a rock at a guy in Kentucky (video)

In Taylorsville Lake, Kentucky, a family was sleeping in their tents at a camping ground on August 4 when, all of a sudden, “a loud howl prompted the dad to walk outside the tent and scan the woods with a flashlight,” according to the YouTube description for the footage below.

That’s when the father noticed a “green eyeshine” on a creature that stood yards away in the dark and around nine feet in height–enough of an intimidating figure to pack the kids in the car and get the hell out of there.

The YouTube channel that posted the video, gatorman8050, is managed by a Charlie Raymond, who founder and lead investigator of the Kentucky Bigfoot Research Organization. So you have no reason to be skeptical. There is not a more legit Sasquatch outfit in the Bluegrass State–maybe it’s time they launch a New Jersey chapter?

Bigfoot sighting in Virginia (video)

Bigfoot, like the Loch Ness Monster, is a mysterious figure that divides people all over the world into those who believe in his existence, and those who don't.

But is this the biggest proof yet that the elusive Sasquatch actually exists?

Randy O'Neal, 40, reckons his father's picture, taken on the Intercoastal Waterway in Virginia this weekend, backs up his previous claims of a sighting after he apparently encountered the beast 25 years ago.

While on a camping trip in 1989, he believes he saw a 'set of red eyes' in the darkness.

 Randy told the Mirror: 'My memories and experiences have made me a believer.

'I can honestly say that these are the clearest, most "non-blurred" images I personally have ever seen.'
