Rocking horse is moved by a ghost in haunted antiques shop (video)

An antiques dealer claims a Bambi rocking horse mysteriously moved by itself before being thrown off the showroom shelf - by the ghosts of little children.

Daniel Parker came into work at Barnsley Antiques Centre, South Yorks, to find the 1960s toy lying on the shop floor.

The 45-year-old quickly rewound one of the store's 24-hour CCTV cameras to discover the toy begin eerily moving despite nothing being near it.

After being plagued by hundreds of unexplained events in his two years owning the shop, customers suggest it is the ghosts of little children - however, the dad of two remains sceptical.

Daniel said: "It was just completely bizarre - and I'm a sceptic.

"It just starts slowly rocking - just stopping and starting and then it flips off, as if someone is getting off the toy.

"How I met the ghost of No. 10 Downing Street" (audio)

Listen to this unnerving story from a member of staff at No10 Downing Street who tells how in the darkness he 'felt the presence of someone else in the room'

If you're of a nervous disposition then make sure you have all the lights on and just check over your shoulder to make sure there really is no one there...

Now you can listen to David's tale of what happened to him at No10 Downing Street. He sounds level-headed, rational, and didn't believe in the supernatural – until his encounter very early one morning in the darkness of the Small Dining Room.

Now he says: "I can’t explain it. It’s something I don’t often relate to people because it still sends shivers up my spine."

David, now Facilities Manager at No10, had just joined the staff when he had his strange encounter. He went in to the Small Dining Room at around 6am to check preparations for an event. He saw that lights had been left on in an adjacent room and went to investigate.

Womans's reports of seeing a monster were not taken seriously

Charmaine Fraser, 41, claims to have seen a Bigfoot near a disused sandstone quarry during a morning walk with her gran’s dog as a child.

She has now gone public on her sighting and wants people to help her prove the existence of the mysterious creatures.

Charmaine, who is orginally from Monikie and now lives in Edinburgh, said she saw the 7ft, black beast with no neck and broad shoulders in Carmyllie in the early 1980s.

She told The Courier: “I was with the dog and we were coming down the path that leads to the track running past the bottom of the property and out to the farm road.

“Just before I got on to the track, the dog stopped suddenly and started to growl, whine and bare her teeth.
“I looked up to see a large black figure further along the track standing with its back to me.

“It was reaching up to a branch on a tree at the side of the track and was tall, of thick build with no neck and wide shoulders.

Mystery object captured on Loch Ness cruise boat scanner

A STARTLING image from the depths of Loch Ness has been captured on sonar from a cruise vessel.

And it is set to spark further speculation that Nessie may be about to make a long-awaited reappearance.

Captured on underwater scanning equipment aboard the Jacobite Queen, the clear reading appears to show a large object in the deep waters below.

The screenshot – revealed just days after satellite images apparently showing a mystery object in the loch were published – will cause fresh excitement among frustrated Nessie hunters, following a more than a year without a "sighting" of the monster.

The image was recorded by sonar equipment aboard the flagship vessel of Inverness-based Jacobite Cruises.

Skipper, John Askew, said: "This image certainly grabbed our attention. The Jacobite Queen spends every day sailing up and down the loch with the sonar on and this reading is the most unusual we have seen for quite some time.

"It’s impossible to tell what we’ve picked up here, but along with those satellite images, you can’t help feeling that reports of the Loch Ness Monster’s demise may be premature.

"Nessie captures the imagination of people all over the world and, if anything, the speculation around lack of recent sightings has increased that interest."
