HE'S not one to get spooked easily, but Simon Cowell was left seriously weirded out on last night's The X Factor after he spotted a "ghost" during filming

Simon Cowell saw a 'ghost' in the window behind Anto.

 

The media mogul and his helping hand, One Direction's Louis Tomlinson, were watching Anton Stephans perform on Judges' Houses, in the hope of bagging himself a spot in the Live Finals.

However, despite Anton's incredible vocals, Simon got distracted as he noticed something eery going on behind him.

As the hopeful sang his heart out, a pale character with frizzy white hair appeared in the window, causing Simon to yell "sorry, I think I just saw a ghost".

Earlier this week, it was revealed that crew members were left freaked out after TV monitors allegedly flickered on and off when the "ghost" appeared, with a bolted window also flying open.

The segment was filmed at Chateay de Canes in Candes-Saint-Martin and the owner has previously insisted that there have been some spooky goings-on around the place.

Man decides to spend 60 days in a Haunted French Lighthouse (video)

Many of us would refuse to spend just one night in a creepy location that's said to be haunted - but one brave adventurer is attempting endure 60 days somewhere spooky completely by himself.

Marc Pointud is set to stay in the 'haunted' lighthouse of Tévennec, which sits on a tiny isolated island off the coast of France near Brittany.

Battling loneliness and isolation, he will be the first inhabitant of the mysterious lighthouse in 100 years, which has a dark reputation for sending those that live there insane.

Marc Pointud is bravely spending 60 days there, as part of a crowd-funded effort to raise awareness for the mysterious property.

The lighthouse was first lit in 1875, and the first lighthouse keeper, Henri Guezennec, was said to have gone insane from staying in the solitary dwelling.

There have subsequently been 23 guards, but no one has dared to live there since 1910.  

The tiny white building is perched on a small, jagged rock, often surrounded by crashing waves, which makes visiting extremely difficult.

Thankfully Mr Pointud is used to dangerous conditions at sea, having spent extended periods sailing.

He will live in the isolated lighthouse in solitary for 60 days, but says he is not afraid of ghosts

The lighthouse is said to have claimed the lives of previous lighthouse keepers who stayed on the property.

French family claims injuries caused by paranormal activity.

A HOUSE which has been described by its owner as being haunted, has been listed on eBay for just 1 euro.

On the French version of eBay, Maud69620 - who listed the house - has stated the house is haunted by spirits after a murder allegedly took place there during the 1950s.

While the murder was never officially confirmed, as their bodies were never found, the former owners' bodies were discovered to be buried in a nearby field.

Paranormal incidents have reportedly been witnessed in and around the house, including random knocks on windows, strange voices and murmurs, weird noises and moving objects.

The house is located in Arbresle, in the Rhône-Alpes region of France and is a 110sqm home on a 350sqm block of land.

French Home to 20,000 Doomsday Cultists Awaiting Aliens (video)

An estimated 20,000 New Age believers who say the "upside down" mountain is home to aliens who will rescue them from an impending apocalypse have saturated a small French commune near the foot of the picturesque Pic de Bugarach.

The Independent reports the growing flock, who locals refer to as "esoterics," believe the world will come to an end on December 21^st, 2012. They also reportedly believe that the unique mountain is in fact home to a race of alien beings that will emerge to rescue the gathered humans and transport them to a new civilization.

Pic de Bugarach has long been famous because rock samples taken from its peak are actually older than points measured at lower elevation. Scientists say that is because when the 1,230 meter mountain erupted its peak flipped upside down before crashing back down upon the mountain's base. The mountain is said to have played a role in inspiring everything from Jules Verne's "Journey to the Center of the Earth," to Steven Spielberg's "Close Encounters of the Third Kind."

German Court Orders the Parliament to Release UFO Report

A German citizen has won his first battle in an effort to view a UFO report created by the Scientific Service of the German Parliament (aka Bundestag). After attempts by the Bundestag to block the document's release, the Berlin Administrative Court has ruled that the German citizen has the right to read the document as requested. The Bundestag is appealing the decision, sending it to the Supreme Administrative Court of Berlin-Brandenburg for a final decision.

Germany has claimed that they have never officially investigated the UFO phenomena. However, other European nations, such as Britain and France, have not only held official investigations, they have released thousands of previously classified documents. This is what has inspired German citizen Frank Reitemeyer in his quest to seek out Germany's X-Files. He told the Berlin court:

I want to know facts and it bothers me that in France, England, USA, Canada, the citizens can see the UFO files, and I am not informed as a German from my German government. It is therefore such a glaring discrepancy...In France, a citizen is automatically informed by his government because the government provides the UFO files to the website of the space agency, so officially on the government side, anyone can view the documents free at home.

The document in question is titled, The search for extraterrestrial life and the implementation of UN Resolution A/33/426 on the observation of unidentified flying objects and extraterrestrial life forms.

Reitemeyer knew of its existence due to the efforts of a UFO disclosure organization called Exopolitics Germany.

President of the organization, Robert Fleicher, says a draft of the document was discovered in 2009. A freelance journalist, Lower Saxony, had contacted Fleicher asking him for some convincing evidence for UFOs that he could show a member of the Bundestag, Gitta Connemann, who he was about to interview. Fleicher sent them Exopolitics' usual UFO briefing documents along with other files.

Saxony said that Connemann was very impressed and promised to look into the issue further. A few weeks later she forwarded the UN report to Saxony, who then sent it to Fleicher. Fleischer shared the document with the media, and excerpts were printed in the German newspaper, Welt Kompakt.

The document reviews materials that Germany had sent the UN in response to a UFO resolution passed in 1978 intended to create an "agency or a department of the United Nations for undertaking, coordinating and disseminating the results of research into unidentified flying objects and related phenomena." The initiative was sponsored by the Prime Minister of Grenada, Sir Eric Gairy.

Huffington Post reporter, Lee Speigel, aided Gairy in his effort by arranging audio visual UFO evidence for the presentation to the United Nations. Although the resolution passed, few countries chose to participate.

The document also contains information as to whether or not the German government conducted official UFO investigations during the Cold War. Andreas Schutz of the German Center for Aeronautics and Astronautics told Weltz Online that he has never heard of the German government investigating UFOs in relation to aliens, but says it is plausible that they did take reports on unidentified aircraft during the cold war.

However, Munich physics professor Herald Lech replied: "I am convinced that German ministry officials have never dealt with UFOs. Why should aliens visit here? They should go to France because there is at least good food. "

For now the decision lies with the Supreme Administrative Court of Berlin-Brandenburg. The Bundestag claims that Germany's freedom of information laws do not pertain to their office of Scientific Service and that their copyright laws allow them to keep the documents private. Although the Berlin Administrative Court disagreed, no one is certain whether the Supreme Administrative Court will uphold that decision.

Jim Morrison's Ghost Turns 40 Today.

Jim Morrison's ghost has allegedly been hanging around Paris for decades. Since Morrison died on July 3, 1971, his ghost and his legend have only grown in status.

In fact, journalist Brett Meisner even claimed that he took a photo of The Doors' lead singer standing at his grave years ago, as apparent proof that he did "break on through to the other side." If he did, then he has officially been there for 40 years, since today is the 40th anniversary of his death.

It is fitting that stories about his ghost has persisted for years, to add to the bizarre, psychedelic legend of Morrison. In life, he was the most out of control rock star in the business, which was quite a feat in the 1960s. He pushed the envelope with his lyrics and behavior on stage- which crossed the line into the leud one night in Miami and got him arrested.

With that kind of on and off-stage persona, it was inevitable that he would flame out when it was all over. Finally, he did on July 3, 1971, as he died in a hotel bathtub in Paris. It may not have been the wild, over the top death that may have been expected from him, yet it did silence one of the era's most distinctive voices- at least temporarily.

After Morrison died, his fame and that of The Doors slowly became bigger than ever. Sales for Doors records went up every year, as death proved to be the best thing that ever happened to Morrison's catalog. The same would later happen to other dead icons like Elvis Presley and Michael Jackson years later.

His song "The End" was used prominently in Apocalypse Now- although they didn't use the lyric where he sang about making love to his mother. Oliver Stone recreated the drug-induced era of The Doors in a 1991 film ofthe same name, with Val Kilmer as Morrison. And Meisner's infamous alleged photograph of the singer's ghost at his gravesite gained a lot of traction, since if any dead rocker could find a way to get photographed, it would have been Morrison.

Living fast, dying young, and then living forever in rock history has been a common trend for musicians, especially back in the early days of rock and roll. Few embodied that cliché like Jim Morrison, as although "The End" technically came for him 40 years ago today, the end of his legend and fame is nowhere near at hand.
