ST. FRANCISVILLE, LA (WAFB) -The Myrtles Plantation in St. Francisville, Louisiana is heralded as one of the nation’s most haunted places. People travel from all over the world to spend the night in hopes of being spooked, whether by hearing or seeing something supernatural.

One group of women got their wish and documented it on camera in the form of a selfie.

On Monday, the haunted plantation posted a picture of some guests standing in front of a row of windows, with an unexpected photobomb.

“Not your average guest selfie…” the post read.

In a window behind the group of women appears to be a face.

Is it the face of Chloe - the slave girl said to haunt the grounds, who has mysteriously appeared in several photographs over the years? Is it just a coincidental reflection off the window?

BRACKNEY, Pa. (CBS) — Is a Pennsylvania inn haunted?

Some folks in Brackney, Pennsylvania, are spooked after spotting what they say was a ghost inside a haunted inn.

Some say they saw a spirit in the window of the Brackney Inn.

Volunteers were helping clean up rubble after a fire destroyed the building last month.

They say things seemed a bit off, then one of them spotted the figure.

“They were taking pictures of the front of the building and when he went back to look at his house, he was kind of freaking out about the picture because it looked in one in the windows like there was someone standing there,” said inn owner Gleg MacBlane.

“The more I looked at it, the harder it was to believe it could ever be the angle of the sun or something at all like that,” said Matthew Hallick, who spotted the figure in the picture.

SANSOM PARK, Texas - A spooky sight spotted on surveillance camera is the latest in a series of reported paranormal activity at a Sansom Park grocery store, just northwest of Fort Worth.

Mohammed Hammad is a physics kind of guy. He believes in hard numbers, facts, and a reason for everything. But a ghostly image caught on surveillance video outside his Samson Park store just after 7:30 p.m. Monday has him baffled.

"After seeing that video, I would say it's haunted,” he said. “There's no explanation for it. It's like supernatural."

The questionable image on the surveillance video appears to float from left to right and then disappears into the wall.

Mohammed's brother, Ahmad, was working the store. He also has no explanation for what he saw.

"I saw that video,” Ahmad said. “It's not a fog or smoke. I don't believe in this stuff, but…”

Ahmad says there were no cars passing by at that moment, so he doesn't think it was smoke. It was dark, making it hard to make the argument it was a shadow.

Bodalla Arms Hotel owner Michelle Coric thinks the ghoulish voice is the spirit of a young girl struck over 15 years ago as she chased her pet turtle into the road.

The 49-year-old is determined to uncover the truth amid a wave of paranormal activity surrounding the historic pub in New South Wales, Australia.

"We were waiting around when we felt this sudden drop in temperature.

"I could feel someone there. We had been waiting here at the bar every night, so we felt shocked and excited when all those long nights paid off.

"I couldn't help but wonder what she meant; 'are you waiting for me?'. Maybe it's because I wait in the bar for her every night?"

ESTES PARK, Colo. - A family out of Aurora decided to take a trip to Estes Park and tour The Stanley Hotel. Little did they know, their group would be joined by what appeared to be a ghostly child.

Jessica Martinez-Mausling and her group of 11 were on the "Spirit Tour" in the month of September. Like a lot of other tourists stopping through, they took a few photos.

When the family got home and reviewed their pictures, they noticed something odd. It looked like a young girl was walking down the stairs near them. When asked about the photo, Jessica said there were no young girls in their party. She even double-checked with other members of her family, and they all said there was no child on the tour.

"Yes, we do think it was a ghost. There is no other explanation. She wasn't there when we took the picture," Jessica told KRDO NewsChannel 13.

Of course, there are debates on whether Jessica and her family could have doctored the photo.

Huffington Post contacted Ben Hansen, former FBI agent and host of "Fact or Faked: Paranormal Files," and he said he could not find any blatant signs that it was fake.

Ghostly acitvity caught on CCTV at a haunted pub (video)

CCTV captured strange goings on at a village pub that have left staff and regulars with the heebie-jeebies.

Bosses at the Tyler’s Kiln, in the historic city of Canterbury, Kent say motion sensors have captured things moving in the dead of night, sparking claims the pub is haunted.

Staff have also reported shadows passing doors, glasses flying off shelves and lights turning on mysteriously.

Owner Allister Collins has now put together a collection of creepy clips, captured on the the pub’s surveillance footage over a two-month period from August 4, highlighting the number of strange incidents.

In it, chairs are mysteriously pulled out, saloon doors swing open and a garden umbrella opens unaided. Items also move on tables and a cushion moves from a sofa.

Mr Collins says he has been overwhelmed by the interest in the footage, which he says is unedited, since he posted it on Facebook.

He said: “It has been quite surprising just how much reaction there has been.

“I’d always heard stories about the pub being haunted, and staff are always talking of hearing footsteps when no one else is around.

But on video they have surveillance tape clearly showing furniture moving about the place — and on its own.

One eerie tape shows a group of bar stools  — when one just topples over.  This happened in the middle of the night when there was no one around.

The general manager at Cronies made a video using the footage from the security camera a few weeks ago posting it on social media.

Two weeks later, some more unexplained movement. This time it was move subtle but a chair could be seen moving.

A lady having lunch noticed the moving chair and checked it out.

“For this to happen it’s pretty creepy,” said Dave Foldes, Cronies co-owner.

People claim Bigfoot is running around Fresno County in California (video)

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. (KMPH) - We’ve all heard the stories of Bigfoot: people saying they’ve seen the legendary beast all over the country, and now, another sighting in the Golden State.

According to paranormal expert Jeffrey Gonzalez, the most recent sighting was near Avocado Lake.

Gonzalez says a local farmer saw a family of five or six Bigfoot running on his ranch in the middle of the night.

“One of them, which was extremely tall, had a pig over its shoulder. And the five scattered and the one with the pig was running so fast it didn’t see an irrigation pipe and it tripped, with the pig flying over,” says Gonzalez.

This story intrigued Gonzalez but did not surprise him.

In the last five years, there have been three Bigfoot sightings, all in the same area in East Fresno County.

“I would have never guessed in a million years that you would have told me there were Bigfoot on Shields or Ashlan Avenue. Right? So, I want to know what’s going on. Is this for real?” says Gonzalez.

Legendary theatre ghost caught on camera in Scotland

Perth Theatre’s famous Grey Lady has been captured on camera by a staff member working at the newly-refurbished venue.

Alex Tosh, a front of house assistant, captured the spooky spectre floating in the “gods”, the highest part of the auditorium, and posted the image online.

He tweeted: “While looking through my photos from the tour of @HorsecrossPerth refurb, I spotted we had a little visitor looking down from the gods!”

The image shows a ghostly grey wisp apparently seated at the edge of the balcony while two workers dressed in high-visibility clothing and hard hats obliviously continue with their duties.

Alex later added: “I didn’t notice the ghost until I was looking back the pictures the following day, when I spotted I was so excited to go and show everyone at work, but I never expected it to create such a sensation.

Tour guide got burned by a ghost in a haunted prison in England

A prison tour guide claims he was burned by the ghost of a condemned man - and is now so scared he refuses to lock up the prison alone.

Paul Toole, 42, was left with a cigarette burn on his hand after feeling a searing pain while showing a group of visitors the execution chambers at Shepton Mallet Prison.

Paul, from Wells, Somerset, was telling the story of a Private Lee Davis, a former chain-smoking inmate who was executed for rape and murder, and refused to accept his fate before he was hanged.

"I had done a little research about the prison in the days leading up to the tour and it had been the very first time I had ever told this story to the visitors,” explained Paul.

Paul was left traumatised by the eerie incident.

"As I was talking I felt this very sharp pain but I tried to ignore it while I was stood in front of the visitors.

"When I looked down at it later, it looked like a cigarette burn."

JEROME, Ariz. - There's a reason they call Jerome the largest ghost town in America. Could you handle a night in their haunted hotel?

Overlooking the Verde Valley, this hotel sits tall on top of Jerome and is known for its paranormal activity.

At one point, Jerome was the largest copper mine in Arizona. The Jerome Grand Hotel was originally a hospital for the miners in the late 1920s. Today, it's a hot spot for tourists.

Visitors report strange happenings throughout the hotel, including sounds of people pacing or walking up stairs, and a bearded miner wandering the halls.

"A floor above us, which had been kind of a pediatric area at one time. We hear giggling. We'll hear the sound of children running up and down the hallways," says Sarah Moser, the hotel's proprietor.

Tourist claims to have photgraphed ghost at an Australian prison

This photo of what could potentially be the Pentridge Prison poltergeist is giving us the creeps.

It may look like a grainy photo, but one Melbourne tourist claims she spotted the ghost while on a tour at the old Victorian jail, which between 1851 and 1997 housed some of Victoria’s most notorious criminals.

Jodie Bezzina snapped the pic on Friday, telling the Herald Sun it was taken as they visited the cell where Chopper Read was kept.

"We felt very cold,” she said.

"I decided to walk out and take a photo of my partner and his cousin. I had to look twice as I thought someone from the tour was standing by, but it wasn’t. We spotted a ghost."

She says if you look directly at the photo, it's behind the boy in the black hooded jumper on the left-hand side.

CLOVIS, N.M. (KRQE) – It was a creepy, unusual sight.

A Clovis family dinner was interrupted Tuesday night by an unexpected guest — one they don’t think is of this world.

“As soon as I saw it, my hair stood up… I’ve never seen anything like that before,” Breanna Hernandez said.

The Hernandez family saw something they can’t explain captured by their home security cameras in Clovis.

“My husband happened to look over right when the image popped up,” Hernandez said.

Hernandez claims she didn’t originally see the image.

“My husband did and he was like, was that a person? And then we were like no, no, no that couldn’t have been, and we ran over,” she said.

They saw the image during dinner Tuesday night. It looks like a person, an another-worldly form.

Ghostly figure caught on camera at a cemetery in Liverpool (video)

This is the haunting moment a GHOST appears to have been caught on camera in a Liverpool cemetery.

What looks like a silvery white figure was captured in the grounds of St James Mount and Gardens.

In the footage, posted today on Facebook page - ‘The Way I See Liverpool’ - a figure can be seen on the path of the gardens.

It appears and disappears throughout the one minute 20 second video and seems to be gliding back and forwards along the path.

There are also times that the eerie figure, appears to be looking forward and arguably a face can be seen.

SEGUIN, Texas - What appears to be paranormal activity was caught on camera once again at South Texas' Haunted Magnolia Hotel.

Strange Town posted a video on YouTube showing what looks like black mist entering the hotel's "Campbell Room" from the left side during the early morning hours of Aug. 5.

White mist then clouds the camera lens.

Investigators said about 10 minutes later, a white vortex appeared even more visible and quickly rotated in front of the camera.

Strange Town is a series where paranormal investigators try to capture evidence of spirits in places said to be haunted in the Austin area.

Guests have reported seeing other instances of paranormal activity at the hotel.

As KENS 5 reported, Magnolia owners Jim and Erin Ghedi began restoring the building in 2013 and opened it to the public for ghost tours.

An antiques dealer claims a Bambi rocking horse mysteriously moved by itself before being thrown off the showroom shelf - by the ghosts of little children.

Daniel Parker came into work at Barnsley Antiques Centre, South Yorks, to find the 1960s toy lying on the shop floor.

The 45-year-old quickly rewound one of the store's 24-hour CCTV cameras to discover the toy begin eerily moving despite nothing being near it.

After being plagued by hundreds of unexplained events in his two years owning the shop, customers suggest it is the ghosts of little children - however, the dad of two remains sceptical.

Daniel said: "It was just completely bizarre - and I'm a sceptic.

"It just starts slowly rocking - just stopping and starting and then it flips off, as if someone is getting off the toy.

West Columbia, SC (WLTX) - The South Carolina Emergency Management Division isn't expecting any major problems on eclipse day, other than heavy traffic.

Oh, and maybe a Lizard Man sighting or two.

The agency sent a tongue and cheek post on social media Wednesday about possible paranormal activity on August 21, the day the total solar eclipse will pass through South Carolina.

Then also sent a map that has a list of possible Lizard Man sighting. (The Lizard Man, for those who don't know, is basically South Carolina's Bigfoot, although a scaly-reptile like creature rather than a hairy beast).

"SCEMD does not know if Lizardmen become more active during a solar eclipse, but we advise that residents of Lee and Sumter counties should remain vigilant."

A large orb captured on video near the Stawamus Chief has excited a documentary and research crew from London, Ont. 

Rob Freeman and Marcus McNabb have travelled to 11 countries and 30 cities in the past three years determined to record what is out there, after being inspired from a childhood experience. 

Freeman, a senior field researcher for the Centre for the Scientific Study of Atmospheric Anomalies, said the sighting is the best footage they’ve recorded to date.

 “This is such a fascinating path that we are on,” Freeman said. “Most people have no idea what’s happening in the world.”

The pair initially started out to make a documentary but McNabb now describes it as a movement.

To collect data, the crew used night imaging technology spanning the electromagnetic spectrum to see the visible and invisible, as well as a camera fondly called the “weapon of mass detection.”

When the crew arrived in Squamish on July 22, a stranger at the Britannia Mine gift shop told them special things shine on the Chief trail. “It was breathtakingly majestic,” Freeman said of the rock face.

Is this a ghost caught on camera in Armagh this afternoon?

The ‘chilling’ footage was captured on Vicars Hill in Armagh around lunchtime on Monday, in the shadow of the towering Church of Ireland Cathedral.

The distinctive figure can be seen walking from one side of the road to the other before disappearing into the wall and grounds of the Cathedral opposite.

We’ve slowed down and zoomed in on the footage and the figure appears to be that of a man dressed in Georgian attire – befitting of the ancient city’s Georgian roots.

The person who sent this our way wanted to remain anonymous but seems to think his grandmother caught a ghostly figure on her dash-cam – despite the camera’s movement.

The man said “my granny is still hyperventilating from the shock of seeing the ghost”.

Did a UFO show up at a Washington air show (video)

SPOKANE, Wash. - Were you at Skyfest this past weekend? And did you see a UFO?
At least one man claims he did, and believes he has the video evidence to support his case.

“Never have I captured anything like this ever,” said John Whichelow.

Whichelow thought he was just recording the Thunderbirds at the air show at Fairchild AFB, but when he watched the video back, he noticed two different unidentified flying objects in the frame.

“It would seem it was moving incredibly fast since the announcer said those jets were going 500 mph and they looked slow by comparison,” said Whichelow. “Some people talk about meteors or birds or bugs that are close to the camera, I looked at it so closely and I don't think it's any of those.”

The video shows a white object at five seconds dart by the frame before the Thunderbirds pass each other. Later at 36 seconds, you can see a smaller black object come through the frame following behind the ascending Thunderbird.

This is a story from beyond the grave.  Residents in Delano have said there is a woman who haunts Browning Rd. in Delano,CA about 30 mins from Bakersfield.  Some have seen her on the road and moments later vanish.

Some people have also said they have gotten weird feelings while traveling on the road at night. She is called the "Browning Road Lady" as the legend says. 

There is a legend that says she is trying to find love after she died before she got married in Mcfarland.  She will not cross Elmo Road into McFarland because of her death.

This is why she haunts Browning Rd, waiting on her true love to rescue her from her haunting.

A COUPLE were ridiculed on This Morning after claiming a creepy Victorian doll had attacked the husband as he slept.

Debbie and Cameron Merrick, both 50, bought three vintage dolls from a secondhand shop for £5 each in the hope they could sell them on for profit.

The couple recalled how Cameron felt a burning sensation in the shower the morning after moving the doll due to friends visiting.

THIS is the creepy moment a cameraman claims he was shoved by a ghost in a haunted house.

The filmer was recording inside Portsmouth’s Fort Widley when he reckons he encountered the ghoul

Holding the camera, he suddenly shouts: “Something’s touched me!

“There’s something touching me, something touched my back.

“It f***ing hurts. I’m shaking, I’m shaking.”

One bemused colleague tries to laugh off the episode but the spooked out victim remains unsettled.

 

He adds: “Something has pushed my in my back and it feels sore. It really hurts.”

When the colleague checks his back, he discovered three scratch marks.

He says: “They’re on there. Three scratch marks on your back going diagonal from your ribs to your spine.”

A now terrified victim replies: “F*** off. You’re kidding me, no.”

A young couple caught footage of what they believe could be the ghost of a female servant at a palace where she died in a fire in the 18th century.

Danielle Hyde, 21, and Savanna Brown, 23, visited Tryon Palace in North Carolina for a day out when Danielle filmed a Snapchat video of the interior.

NAHMA — “Not only do the spirits bring us back here and stuff, it’s the owners. When we first came here, they made us feel right at home,” said Yooper Paranormal Investigator, Kelly Carlson. “They were wonderful with us, made us feel like family and the employees also. We just keep coming back because we feel very welcome not only by them, but by what we find upstairs.”

Like the rest of the Upper Peninsula, Nahma is deep-rooted with a rich history, dating back to the late 1800s. Bay de Noquet Lumber Company resided in the Nahma area from 1881 to 1951, building the village as a company town. With nearly 1,500 people employed by the company, the Nahma Inn was constructed in 1909 for the employees.

The area was home to nearly 800 people in the peak of the lumber industry, but the town was sold in 1951 to a playground manufacturer, with high hopes of turning it into a resort town. A lack of financial means to do so soon became apparent and nearly 70 years later, the sleepy little town has a population of just 500, according to the 2010 census. The Inn, which has a four and a half star rating on Trip Advisor, is a main attraction for visitors looking for a quaint place to stay, good food and a good scare.

“It’s known for Nell. Nell is the resident haunt, the resident ghost. Every single time we come here, we experience something,” said Carlson.

I stumbled upon these videos from last year, I am sharing them because I think they are quite interesting. Both bloggers visited the Hellingly Asylum in Sussex, England, don't worry they are not really scary but the are creepy.

Contractor thinks Ted Bundys' childhood home, is definately haunted.

TACOMA, Wash. Unexplainable things happened in the Tacoma house where serial killer Ted Bundy grew up. So many things, in fact, that a contractor hired to remodel the home penciled Bible scriptures on the walls and brought in two pastors to bless the house.

“I’m not one to believe a lot of this stuff, but this house made me a believer,” said Casey Clopton, the contractor.

A cry for help appeared on a window as crew members worked in the basement.

Heavy furniture wedged into a wall toppled over. Doors and cabinets seemed to open themselves.

Real estate broker James Pitts III shows the fully remodeled Tacoma home he just sold, desiccated birds and all. It was the childhood home of serial murderer Ted Bundy.

It all started in September, when David Truong bought the 1,400-square-foot home with plans to redo and flip it.

He didn’t research its history, so he didn’t know the local lore or who had lived there.

The little blue house was built in 1946, the same year Bundy was born in Vermont. The Bundy family moved into the home in 1955, records show.

Haunted Milwaukee bar may appear in Netflix show (video)

MILWAUKEE (AP) - An historic Wisconsin  bar with a reputation for apparent paranormal activity could appear in a new Netflix series.

Shaker's Cigar Bar in Milwaukee's Walker's Point neighborhood has been listed as the fifth most-haunted bar in America.

It was a Speakeasy, where illegal liquor was sold during prohibition in the 1920's.

It was actually built in the 1800's, when it also served other customers who reputedly never left.

"We had people attempt to spend the night all night in the dead hooker's bedroom upstairs and about 10 percent are successful.  I've had other things, you'll be up there and hear like stilettos walking back and forth, obviously the person next to you is still asleep you look around there's nothing there," owner Bob Weiss told WISN.

Nanny sought for 'haunted' house,..pays very well

If you're a childcare professional who is looking for a terrifyingly good job opportunity, this spooky nannying gig might be right up your alley.

A family of four living in Scottish Borders is seeking a live-in nanny whose duties would include "preparing breakfast, getting the children ready for school, dropping off and picking up from school."

The job would pay 50,000 pounds per year (about $64,000) and would offer 28 vacation days.

The only catch? The house they live in is supposedly haunted.

"We have lived in our home for nearly 10 years. The Lady in Red is one of Vancouver’s most famous ghosts. According to legend, she haunts the historic Fairmont Hotel Vancouver at 900 West Georgia St., built in 1939, walking the top floors in her elegant red gown, occasionally stopping at the window to stare wistfully out at the city.

Several people claim to have seen the apparition. According to Ghosts of Vancouver, a website that catalogues Metro Vancouver’s spookiest tales, “once, a Japanese family that checked into a room on the 14th floor called the front desk to ask whether their room had been double-booked. They described seeing the Lady in Red in the room, which had caused their confusion.”

Now a local elevator mechanic claims to have taken her picture. Vancouver’s Scott Graham says he was working on a top floor at the Private Residences at Hotel Georgia, just around the corner from the Fairmont, when he decided to take a cellphone photo of the historic hotel, where he also does work

A small plane disappears in the Bermuda Triangle (video)

The U.S. Coast Guard is searching for two adults and two young children after their small plane mysteriously disappeared from radar while flying over the infamous Bermuda Triangle on Monday.

The Coast Guard said it recovered debris and parts of an MU-2B aircraft -- the plane type the group was traveling in -- 15 miles east of Eleuthera, Bahamas, during the search. 

On board the flight was 40-year-old Jennifer Blumin from New York and her two sons, ages 3 and 4, as well as 52-year-old Nathan Ulrich from New Hampshire. Blumin is the CEO of a prominent New York City event planning firm, Skylight Group.

The plane was scheduled to fly from Puerto Rico to central Florida, but never arrived at its destination, according to the Coast Guard. 

Miami Air Traffic Control reported that it lost radar and radio contact with the airplane just three hours into the flight, the Coast Guard added in a statement.

While he was trying to establish his career in show business, Danny McBride told Stephen Colbert last night that at one point he took a job as a night manager at a Holiday Inn in Burbank, CA.

He figured that the night shift would not be particular busy, and that he could use the time to write scripts and such.

However, very quickly after starting, he apparently learned that the top floor of the hotel was reportedly haunted.

“I spent all my nights trying to summon the ghost,” laughed McBride, joking that he was trying to channel Jack Nicholson in The Shining. “It never worked, and then suddenly one night…”

Man claims to have videotaped a "Black Eyed Kid", and it's kinda creepy (video)

The US-based man, who blurs his identity in investigative videos he uploads to the Fantastic Daily YouTube channel, claims to have caught a so-called "Black Eyed Kid" on video in his own home after setting a trap to lure them to his remote property.

Black Eyed Kids have been an urban legend, mainly in the US, since the 1990s.

They are said to resemble pale-skinned children with jet black eyes, that have been accused of carrying out abductions.

Paranormal researchers speculate they are ghosts, evil spirits, or even aliens or vampires.

The investigator says in a promotional blurb for the video: "Over an hour of BEK activity captured on video!

"You’ve heard the stories, I found proof. I’m in touch with other paranormal researchers, and together we’ve been mapping data from black eyed kid encounters.

"For a long time now I’ve believed that they must have a language all their own.

"I was finally able to isolate a low-frequency signal that appeared in the background of tonnes of my evidence.

"I played the frequency every night for a week, eventually succeeding in my efforts to lure a black eyed kid into my camera trap."

New York Gov. Cuomo, says his mansion is haunted

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) — New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo isn't afraid of ghosts, but spooky thuds still keep him awake at night when he stays at the governor's mansion in Albany.

The Democrat told a Long Island crowd Thursday that during legislative sessions he spends evenings unsettled by unexplained noises in the 161-year-old mansion near the Capitol building.

"Now, I don't believe in ghosts and I'm a big tough Italian guy," Cuomo said "But I'll tell you — it gets creepy in that house and there're a lot of noises that go on, and you are very alone."

The governor, who spends most of his time at his family home in Westchester, has mentioned apparitions in the reputedly haunted mansion before. In an April speech in Harlem, he said he spends the eerie, sleepless nights reading about past governors.

The only known death in the mansion was in 1909, when the Rev. David C. Hughes, the father of Gov. Charles Hughes, died from a "stroke of apoplexy," according to state archives.

New York State Capitol assistant curator Stuart Lehman said historians have no reason to believe Hughes had unfinished business that would cause his spirit to remain in the house, but Albany's state buildings brim with reports of paranormal activity.

Ghosthunter filmed walking ghost at an abandoned Air Force base (video)

A dad-turned-ghosthunter has revealed spooky footage of the 'ghost of an RAF pilot' haunting a corridor in an abandoned air force base.

Steve Wesson, 44, visited Manby Hall, in Lincolnshire, earlier this year with his UK Ghost Hunts team and could not believe his luck when he captured the 'freaky' footage.

The team didn't realise that an unknown figure wanders through the background until looking at the video later that night but Steve insists it could not have been any of his team and there was no one else in the building.

Steve believes he must have seen the shape in the corner of his eye as he followed the suspected phantom into a stairwell, which footage shows was eerily empty.

Ghost encounter freaks out family on the USS Lexington (video)

CORPUS CHRISTI (KIII NEWS) - Over the years, there have been lots of reported strange encounters aboard the USS Lexington Museum. Some people believe the aircraft carrier, that served during World War 2, is haunted. 

 

Over the weekend, a family visiting the attraction told us they got quite a scare and they say it was all caught on video.

The USS Lexington earned the nickname 'The Blue Ghost' from the Japanese navy after they repeatedly thought they had sunk the ship only to see it again later in battle.

"Ghost Man" photobombs a girls selfie in Georgia (video)

A recent birthday fishing trip yielded more than a record-breaking catch for the birthday boy, after what some are calling a “ghost man” turned up in a selfie.

Georgia mother Jessica Ogletree took to Facebook to tell the story. Ogletree wrote that her 13-year-old daughter Haley and son Kolton were on a fishing trip with their grandparents in Tifton, GA when the unexpected guest showed up in one of Haley's selfies.

While her brother is seen in the background wearing a green shirt, the man appearing to the right of him caused quite a stir for the family and social media has followed suit. “Ya'll this gentleman was NOT with them today and there was no one else at these back ponds where they were fishing,” wrote Ogletree, who added that her daughter spotted the mysterious “ghost man” when she was going back through the pictures later on.

Although her daughter “freaked out,” according to FOX 46, Ogletree was excited about the unexpected visitor. "I personally think it's pretty cool because today is Kolton's birthday and he caught the biggest fish he's ever caught! It looks like the man is happy for him," wrote Ogletree.

Was a "Civil War" era ghost accidentaly caught on camera ? (video)

A family were given holy water to sprinkle around their house after the ghostly shape of a 'civil war maid' floating in their living room was caught on camera - with their terrified dog looking right at it.

Tim Welty, 25, had visited his parents' home to fix their computer when his mother got in touch to say their camera installed to keep an eye on the dogs had captured something unusual while he'd been round.

A picture that the camera had taken while he had been sat in the room alone showed the shape of a large lady hovering over the sofa and the cocker spaniel looking up at her, with her ears pulled back in fear.

After sharing the image, some Catholic friends of the family were so 'freaked out' by what they saw that they gave them holy water and urged them to sprinkle it around.

Investigators claim to have photographed a Lengendary Ghost in Maine (video)

A team of paranormal investigators believes it has captured a photo of the ghost of Eva Gray climbing the back stairs of Biddeford City Theater, where she’s said to have collapsed at the end of a performance and died backstage more than 100 years ago.

EVP Paranormal of Maine visited the theater on Dec. 19 and spent four hours taking infrared video footage, which showed what it believes looks like a woman in a dress on the stairs. The group posted a video with the image on its Facebook page Thursday.

Caroline Mezoian, 51, of Saco, who founded the group with Beverly Young of Buxton, said she thought the story about Gray – that she died the day before Halloween in 1904 singing “Good-Bye Little Girl, Good-Bye” with her 3-year-old daughter in the audience – seemed contrived.

“I didn’t really believe it, to be honest,” she said.

But when she saw the figure in the footage, Mezoian said, she almost fell out of her chair.
