Has a ghost been photgraphed in a Liverpool pub ?

A ghost-like image in a photograph taken in a Liverpool pub has been spotted by a Merseyside actress.

Rachel Mckeown, from Norris Green, was looking through photos taken on a night out at The Lisbon bar on Victoria Street when she saw an eerie face in one of the pictures.

She had performed in a production of Queertet at Liverpool’s Unity Theatre on Friday evening and joined fellow cast members for drinks at The Lisbon afterwards.

It was not until the next day that she saw the ghostly face in one of her photographs.

She told the ECHO: “All of us actors and the crew went for a good night out in The Lisbon. I have just been looking through my pictures... and I came across this picture. Do you see the face? Is the Lisbon haunted?”

Rachel, who is on the far right in the photo, added: “There was about 20 of us from the theatre who went to The Lisbon.

The Ghost of a One-Legged Woman Haunts Miami’s Cuban Consulate

But don't expect that building to be part of any renewed thaw as old hatchets are buried. That's because the old Cuban consulate — a lovely building known as Villa Paula — is perhaps the most haunted building in Miami, all thanks to the ghost of a one-legged Cuban woman.

Amidst all the news today about the U.S. and Cuba officially reopening diplomatic ties, it's easy to forget how close the nations once were. In fact, Miami itself was once a hotbed of diplomacy with Havana, thanks to a Cuban consulate located right in town on North Miami Avenue.

"It is said that her ghost permeates the house: shelves shake, sometime in the evenings a woman is seen in the hallway," Dr. Paul George of HistoryMiami tells New Times.

The story of Villa Paula goes back to the 1920s, when the Cuban government opened a consulate in modern-day Little Haiti. It was built entirely from materials imported from Cuba. The high ceilings, hand-painted tiles and columns designed by Cuban architect C. Freira echo other contemporary structures in Havana.

In 1926, Cuban Consul Domingo Millord moved in with his wife, Paula, a beautiful, young woman from Havana. The cause of her death is still unknown, but it might be linked to complications from a leg amputation. It was long rumored that she was buried in the backyard — though those most of those rumors have been debunked, according to an excellent piece on the residence in Biscayne Times from a few years back.

Either way, shortly after her death, the consulate closed. The building has been bought and sold a number of times over the decades since, falling into disrepair amidst numerous restorations.

Cliff Ensor, who bought the house in 1974, was said to have invited psychics to the home, one of whom supposedly pointed to five different ghosts in the building (one belonging to a maid searching for her baby). A Satanist was allegedly even brought into the house and started choking in one of the rooms.

Unexplained ghostly firgure appears on CCTV camera (video)

Eerie footage of a ghostly pirate figure in a Warrington night club has been leaked on social media.

The owner of shipwreck themed bar Dreamwater Lounge called in paranormal experts after CCTV appeared to show a shadowy soul walking down a corridor.

The film shows the camera shaking and then a lone white figure emerges and appears to walk along the rope bridge area of the bar, to some the figure looks like the outline of a long forgotten pirate, while others see a woman in a bonnet from a more recent past.

The footage, which was uploaded to YouTube on Saturday morning and claims to have been filmed a few hours earlier, is taken from a CCTV camera which overlooks a rope bridge - part of the business’ ship wreck theme.

After a few seconds the camera begins to shake and a frame appears, indicating to the viewer that the camera is now recording because it has detected motion.

This is followed by what appears to be a faint figure, who glides down the bridge before disappearing.

Ghostly face appears in photograph at Haunted Museum

A GROUP of ghost-hunters taking part in a 'Night at the Museum' tour at a Devon museum were met with some spooky success.

A photograph that appears to show a woman's face looming out of the museum’s floorboards is puzzling staff at Torquay Museum.

The museum, noted for having the only human mummy in Devon, is now planning a second night at the museum experience

Carl Smith, from Torquay Museum, said: "It appears to be a woman, and from the angle of the photograph it looks like she is submerged into the floor, almost like she is below floor level.

"We had a Paranormal Experience evening, during which an amazing photo of what appears to be a ghost was taken. We were very excited about the picture, as we were taking photos all over the place, and it wasn't until afterwards when we examined them more closely that we noticed it, which was quite spooky.

"It's a pretty clear photograph, and there was no one else present when the photo was taken. So we are at a loss to explain it. It is a bit of a mystery, and there seems to be no other explanation.

‘Nosferatu’ Director's Head Stolen From Grave, possible witchcraft involved

German news outlets are reporting that the head of “Nosferatu” director F.W. Murnau has been stolen from his family plot in a cemetery in Stahnsdorf, Germany. The filmmaker of the early silent vampire movie, recognized as one of the scariest horror movies of all time, died in 1931.

In a story reminiscent of one of his own movies, grave robbers opened a metal coffin to access the filmmaker’s embalmed body, said the newspaper. Stahnsdorf is about 12 miles southwest of central Berlin. The nearby graves of his two brothers were not disturbed. Spiegel Online said some wax residue had been found near the grave, pointing to a possible occult connection.

Released in 1922, “Nosferatu” was an unauthorized adaptation of Bram Stoker’s novel “Dracula.” Murnau worked in Hollywood for several years, directing “Sunrise,” which won several Oscars at the first Academy Awards. He died in a car crash near Santa Barbara but was buried in his native Germany.

Haunted mansion for sale in Upstate New York

Constructed in the 1880s, the Pillars Estate in Albion, NY, is the embodiment of Greek-revival style. From the roaring lions greeting you to the disembodied voices inside, this mansion offers it all: post -- Civil War architectural details, modern renovations, and the perfect setting for a ghost story.

Yes, that's right. The estate, which is listed at $1 million, also comes with some permanent guests. As in apparitions.

Cue the organ music. The ghostly rumors began when the home was being renovated to return it to its original grandeur. A family member sitting outside the home saw a child peering out a basement window. Not long after that, a workman swore he heard another child talking to him.

And they're not alone. The classic woman in white has been spotted lounging in a bedroom, and the homeowners and staff members have heard strange footsteps from behind them on the stairs.

No one knows why these spirits would decide to stay, but if you're going to need a spot to haunt for eternity, the Pillars would be it. The home retains many of its historical details, but it's been brought up to date with a number of renovations.

Has construction awoken ancient spirits in UK theatre (video)

RENOVATION work at the Palace Theatre has revealed more than just marble floors and hidden fireplaces – it’s also roused a few ghosts.

That’s the belief of some volunteers and contractors who are tackling the huge project after security footage – hoping to catch any vandals or unwanted guests – instead picked up the strangest of sights.
Footage snatched from a camera set at the foyer of the Union Street building, currently undergoing renovation by the GO Palace charity, shows strange lights and weird objects which have so-far baffled all who have viewed them.

A member of the Palace Guard, who asked not to be named, said the footage was taken in the early hours of both Tuesday and Wednesday last week – at exactly 3.14am.

The guard said: “We have put security cameras up in different locations around the theatre and the one at the foyer is to ensure no-one enters the building day or night without being seen.

“It’s set so if there is movement on the camera, I will get a ping on my mobile and it kept going off at 3.14am.

“What I saw was very strange. Actually my first thought was ‘oh my god, what’s that?’ Everyone who been working at the theatre has seen it and even the most sceptical amongst us have struggled to explain it.”
The guard said the first footage appears to show something like a “light-sabre” flashing across the lens “but the edges are so sharp and clear”

“It is definitely weird, but then there’s some weird tales about this place, which is why ghost-hunters want to keep coming down here.”

Couple claim they are being molested by a demonic poltergeist

Ghost

In a story reminiscent of the film Paranormal Activity, the Fry family of New Tredegar, South Wales say they have been molested by an evil poltergeist for months

A terrified family attacked in the night by a dreaded "incubus demon" have called a ghostbuster to get rid of the malevolent spirit.

In a story reminiscent of the film Paranormal Activity, the Fry family say they have been molested by an evil poltergeist for months.

Mum Tracey, 46, even says she is beaten up in the night by the phantom - leaving her covered with bruises in the morning.

In desperation her husband Keiron, 32, forked out £100 to a specialist to "cleanse" the house and has brought a vicar in to bless their cursed abode.

The phantom, which has also been menacing the couple's three children, was summoned by a using a Ouija board in the house, they say.

That friend is no longer on speaking terms with the family.

Dad-of-three Keiron took a pic of the ghost in his sons' bedroom which he says shows a small child in a white gown with a blue face and a tail.

Keiron said: "We are being molested by demons.

"My wife goes to bed fine, doesn't feel anything in the night but when she wakes up she's in agony.
"I wake up the next day and said: 'I didn't do that. I would never beat my wife'.
