Census Plan To Monitor Vanishing Ghosts

Poland's only officially registered ghost hunter has accused the spirit world of giving up on mankind - and he wants a census to check his theory that there are fewer spirits bothering to stay and haunt people.

Piotr Shalkevitz, 40, from Chrzanow, Poland, who has spent tens of thousands of pounds on the best paranormal detection equipment from the US, believes it might be because they have given up trying to warn people to prepare for the afterlife.

He said: "Maybe they think we aren't worth saving, and they have given up trying to tell us whatever it was they wanted us to know.

"It might also be that people just aren't bothered, they see so much on the TV and they just rationalise it all away. They have become immune to messages from beyond."

Now frustrated Piotr, who became Poland’s only officially registered full-time ghost buster three years ago, has issued a plea to his fellow countrymen for a census of ghosts to monitor the population. But he also wants global ghost busters to contact him about their local spooks.

GHOSTS Stalk Japan's Tsunami City

Numerous reports of ghost sightings have reportedly been made by residents in the city of Ishinomaki in Miyagi prefecture, home to nearly a fifth of all tsunami fatalities.

Reconstruction and repair have been put on hold in some instances due to workers' fears that the spirits of the dead who passed away a year ago will bring them bad luck if they continue, according to AFP.

Highlighting one half-repaired supermarket, local Satoshi Abe, 64, told the agency: "I heard people working to repair the store became sick because of ghosts. People died here everywhere, here and there. The city is full of such stories."

A taxi driver, who did not want to be named, added that he was unwilling to stop in certain parts of the city that were badly damaged in the tsunami for fear of picking up a customer who is a spirit of the dead.

Mysterious 'Dog-Headed Pig Monster' Terrorizes Africa

IT"S A MONSTER !!!
Residents in northern Namibia, on the southwest coast of Africa, have reported being terrorized by a bizarre dog-pig hybrid creature. The animal is said to be mostly white and unlike anything the villagers have ever seen, with a dog-like head and the broad, round, nearly hairless back and shoulders of a giant pig. The beast was spotted chasing and attacking dogs, goats and other domestic animals in this arid region not far from the Kalahari desert.

As often happens when rumors of monsters spread in rural areas around the world, some locals have taken extra safety precautions, such as traveling in groups and arming themselves with weapons.

In 1995 and 1996, some Puerto Ricans armed themselves against the vampire beast el chupacabra; last year, Malaysian residents patrolled the streets searching for the mysterious orang minyak, or "oily man" creature that had recently terrorized them.

Mayan Light beam: Message from Gods, or iPhone Glitch?

When Hector Siliezar visited the ancient Mayan city of Chichen Itza with his wife and kids in 2009, he snapped three iPhone photos of El Castillo, a pyramid that once served as a sacred temple to the Mayan god Kukulkan. A thunderstorm was brewing near the temple, and Siliezar was trying to capture lightning crackling dramatically over the ruins.

In the first two images, dark clouds loom above the pyramid, but nothing is amiss. However, in the third photo, a powerful beam of light appears to shoot up from the pyramid toward the heavens, and a thunderbolt flashes in the background.

Siliezar, who recently shared his photographs with occult investigators, told Earthfiles.com that he and his family didn't see the light beam in person; it appeared only on camera. "It was amazing!" he said. He showed the iPhone photo to his fellow tourists. "No one, not even the tour guide, had ever seen anything like it before."

Family Terrified by 'dark figure' Legendary Spring-Heeled Jack

A taxi ride home on Valentine's night turned into a nightmare when a family were confronted by a terrifying apparition that looked and moved like the legendary Spring Heeled Jack.

Scott Martin and his family were travelling home by taxi from Stoneleigh on Tuesday, February 14, at about 10.30pm when they saw a mysterious ‘dark figure with no features’ dart across the road in front of them before leaping 15ft over a roadside bank as they approached Nescot College on the Ewell bypass.

Spooked by their seemingly supernatural experience the couple’s four-year-old son, Sonny, was too scared to sleep on his own that night, while the petrified taxi driver admitted he didn’t want to drive back alone.

Whitney Houston's Ghost Haunts Mom

Whitney and her Mom, Cissy
WHITNEY Houston’s distraught mum says she is being haunted by the ghost of her daughter.

Grieving Cissy Houston has handed friends and family a letter revealing how her doorbell has been ringing mysteriously since the day Whitney died.

Whitney Houston’s distraught mum says she is being haunted by the ghost of her daughter.

But sad Cissy Houston, 78, insists that she is not scared and is taking comfort from the spirit.

Devout Christian Cissy believes Whitney’s ghost rang her doorbell the day she died.

Close friends of the family said last night Cissy is in danger of becoming “obsessed” with feelings that the songbird is still with her.

They warned it is a sign the frail grandmother-of-six is suffering from “uncontrollable grief and shock” that could spiral into a mental breakdown.

Cissy could not bring herself to speak at her daughter’s funeral held eight days ago.

Instead, she handed mourners a letter which told how she believes Whitney’s spirit called at her door the day her body was found.

The First Zombie-Proof House (lots of photos)

Can you say awesome, I know I can.

Most Authentic Gettysburg Ghost Video. "In My Opinion"

I always found this particular video quite interesting, so I thought I would share it. It is of what may be ghost in Gettysburg. To me it's the most authentic video I've ever seen. Just listen to the people talking in the video, even the have no idea what the hell they are looking at.

This is all the information I could find out about this video as of this moment.

Tom Underwood was visiting the Gettysburg Battlefield in 2001 with his family when he recorded this video at Triangular Field. It is considered by many to be perhaps the best, most compelling ghost video ever recorded. It appears to show semi-transparent figures walking through the woods. They seem to be walking uphill, even though the land there is currently flat. It has been noted that the actions of the figures seem to repeat themselves, indicating that this may be a residual haunting -- a kind of recording on the environment. Some think the figures look like soldiers in gray Confederate uniforms.

Jersey Shore's Deena saw a F***ing UFO OOOH (video)

Jersey Shore star Deena claims she saw a UFO while filming Jersey Shore Season 5.  In a new clip released last Wednesday by MTV, the reality star maintains she knows her eyes (or were they her drunk goggles?) are not deceiving her.

"Even though all my roommates think I'm nuts, I really just saw a freaking UFO," Deena explains.

In describing the sighting, a visibly intoxicated Deena even manages to make up a new word based on her signature 'Merp.'  "The thing looked like a ball with a red and green stripe and it was like 'BERP.'"

Deena says at first she thought she was looking at a firework, but then realized it was an astroid.  She also makes it clear she was not seeing a falling or shooting star.

"It was a f***ing thing...I don't know if it was an anstroid or a thing transporting aliens here..."

With Unexplained Strength, Boy Lifts 2500 lb Car off Man

IDA TOWNSHIP – When the car slipped off the blocks and fell on top of 74-year-old Ernie Monhollen, he figured the end was coming.

"I knew I was gone," Mr. Monhollen said. "If I would have been there by myself, I would have died. I know it."
But he wasn't alone. With him was his 15-year-old grandson Austin Smith, who found the strength to lift up that Buick and allow the man he calls "Papa"? to crawl out. His injuries were severe, but he was alive.
"It happened very fast," said Austin, a freshman at Ida High School. "I just reacted. There was nothing else I could do."
It's an incredible story of family, faith and a burst of mysterious strength tied together with "ifs": If Austin hadn't been dropped off that Saturday morning at his grandparents' home on Todd Rd., if Mr. Monhollen hadn't discovered a leak under the car or if Austin had panicked, the outcome could have been much, much different.

Ghost Comes Home with Son and Decides to Stay

Gerald and Julie Jones have lived at their semi-detached home for 31 years but began experiencing what they describe as paranormal activity a decade ago.

The house is modern, bright and not untypical of other homes in Llandudno Junction, having been built in the late 1960’s. Perched on a corner halfway down Narrow Lane in the shadow of the modern Welsh Government building, the house is neither an Edwardian manor or a 19th century townhouse you’d more likely associate with a traditional haunting.

But Gerald, a retired butcher, says strange goings-on over the years has caused him to fear the dark and says he constantly feels watched.

The couple say the haunting started around 2002, after their son Daniel, now 27, returned home from a ghost-hunting expedition with his then girlfriend.

Black Eyed Children: An Eyewitness Encounter

Urban legends referring to Black Eyed Children began to appear in 1998, starting with a newsgroup article by journalist Brian Bethel reporting of a meeting with two unusually confident and eloquent children who attempted to talk him into giving them a ride in his car.

Bethel said in his post that he nearly opened the door to admit the children, even though he found them vaguely unsettling, until he realized that their eyes were completely black, with no iris or pupil. He reports that, as soon as he realized this, the children became angry and insistent, and he drove away quickly.

Urban legends involving the Black Eyed Children generally do not explain the cause of the children's eye color or the origins of the children themselves. Some imply they could be ghosts or demons, specifically vampires: the tales frequently emphasize that the children must be admitted or invited into the house or car in question, and in this way are reminiscent of some vampire legends.

Here's an interesting eyewitness account of this phenomena.

Beverly French stepped outside her home November 25, 2008, dragging a box of Christmas lights she and her husband Bill would soon string across the eaves. Bill had taken his box of lights out back.

The French’s had lived in their home, along a cul-de-sac on the outskirts of a small, Northern California town, about 40 years, and owned a general store/gas station in this town of about 2,000 people.

The day, two days before Thanksgiving, was peaceful. That peace did not last.

“I was sitting on the porch with a box of lights at my feet when I heard someone call out to me,” Beverly said.

“Do you need any help?” the voice asked.

Beverly looked up from untangling strings of lights to find two children on the sidewalk in front of her house. She hadn’t noticed them approach, which was unlikely on this quiet dirt road, engine noise and a cloud of dust advertising visitors. What struck her as even more odd, she didn’t know them.

Is it time to Bury the Yeti Myth?

Nikolai Valuev is 7 ft tall and weighs almost 146 kg. A few months ago, the Russian heavyweight boxing champion , nicknamed the "Beast from the East" was on an unusual expedition. His mission was "to try and find the yeti and talk to him about life" . Valuev returned from the expedition without having his heart-to-heart chat, much like countless others who have been trying to locate the elusive snowman known by various names - Mehteh or Meito Kangmi in the Himalayas, Bigfoot or Sasquatch in the US and the Snow Person or Almasty in Russia.

Why is the creature - if it indeed exists - so coy? Even though the search for the yeti has been going on for almost a century and there have been numerous reports of possible sightings, purported hair samples and supposed footprints, conclusive proof has never been found.

In November last year, there was a flicker of hope when organisers of the International Yeti Conference in Russia's Kemerovo region claimed they had found nests built by the creature. In fact, they went to the extent of claiming they were "95% certain of finding the yeti at long last" . However, much of the evidence , according to scientists who attended the conference, turned out to be doubtful, and possibly planted to increase tourism to the region. "The markers in the forest, footprints and nests in the cave, which were shown to conference participants were rather questionable," says Jeff Meldrum of the department of biological sciences of Idaho State University , one of the conference attendees.

The Village of the Dead: The Anjikuni Lake Vanishing

The trout and pike filled estuary known as Anjikuni Lake (also spelled Angikuni) is located along the Kazan River in the remote Kivalliq Region of Nunavut, Canada. The out-of-the-way area is rich with legends of malicious wood spirits and beasts like the Wendigo, but as fascinating as these oft told tales are, there is none more intriguing than the terrifying and controversial mystery surrounding the collective vanishing of the villagers who once lived on the stony coast of Anjikuni’s frigid waters.

On an arctic evening back in November of 1930. A Canadian fur trapper by the name of Joe Labelle was seeking respite from the bitter cold and a warm place to bunk down for the night when he tromped into an Inuit village that was nestled on the rocky shores of Canada’s Lake Anjikuni.

Labelle had visited the area before and knew it to be a bustling fishing village full of tents, rough hewn huts and friendly locals, but when he shouted a greeting the only sound that returned to him was that of his own echo and his snowshoes crunching through the icy frost.

Labelle tensed. He had the instincts of a seasoned outdoorsman and he could sense that something was seriously amiss.

Labelle could see the ramshackle structures that were silhouetted under the full moon, but he saw no bustling people nor barking sled dogs nor any other signs of life.

The Haunted Bus Stop

A LONG-time driver who regularly passes the Dilke Hospital during the night has the shivers after encountering what he believes is a ghost…twice!

Not wishing to be identified in case his employers worry about his state of mind, the man says he is sure there is something supernatural about a figure waiting in the road by the bus stop at the Dilke side of the road – only to vanish when the kind-hearted driver offered him a lift into Cinderford.

The first time it happened 18 months ago, knowing no bus was due, he drew in to offer the man a lift. The half-past midnight encounter was unsettling.

“The shelter has windows and when I pulled up and looked out and there was nobody there at all, I wondered if it had just been a reflection in one of the glass panels,” he said.

But he looked all around and there was nobody in sight…

A Ghost has got to eat in New Hampshire

ATKINSON — Sometimes when no one's in the room at Eggies Family Restaurant, silverware disappears and doors mysteriously open and shut.

Residents and staff say the diner might be haunted by the ghosts of past owners. Waitress Lisa Liguori said she's had many strange experiences since Eggies moved to its new location at 6 Main St. a year and a half ago.

"The first time, I was emptying the trash and something brushed by my ear and there was nobody in the room but me," Liguori said. "The silverware in the back room gets moved around and I know I just set it all out. Another time, I heard the back door open and shut, and no one was there."

The restaurant used to be a two-unit home before owner Kevin Barden converted it to a restaurant in 2010. The house was built in 1960 and owned by Wilbur and Rosline Dinsmore. They lived there until 1992, when it was inherited by their son, Donald Dinsmore. It passed through three other owners before Barden bought it.

Aokigahara The Suicide Forest (Amazing Video)

The Aokigahara Forest ( The Sea of Trees) is the most popular site for suicides in Japan.

The novel Kuroi Jukai was released in 1960 and tells the story of a woman who has a love affair with a young public prosecutor. He is blackmailed by the woman's husband, and the only escape for the lovers is a double suicide inside the dark and mysterious Aokigahara forest.

After the novel was published, people started taking their own lives there at a rate of 50 to 100 deaths a year. The authorities sweep for bodies only on an annual basis, as the forest sits at the base of Mt. Fuji and is too dense to patrol more frequently.

This area is famous for two things, the breathtaking views of Mt. Fuji and the suicides. Many people say that this place is also haunted and it is the ghosts the help the people commit suicide. There is also an absence of wildlife, in the area, which makes it even more eerie.

During the semi-regular body search, they leave plastic tape to mark where a body is found, and this tape is never removed. So within the first mile or so from the forests' entrance the area is littered with plastic tape. It is believed that leaving the corpse is left alone is very bad luck, for the yurei (ghost) of the suicide will scream through the night, and the body will move itself on its own.

The Mystery of Dyatlov’s Pass Incident Still Unsolved

Mysterious Deaths of 9 Skiers Still Unresolved

Nine experienced cross-country skiers hurriedly left their tent on a Urals slope in the middle of the night, casting aside skis, food and their warm coats.

Clad in their sleepwear, the young people dashed headlong down a snowy slope toward a thick forest, where they stood no chance of surviving bitter temperatures of around minus 30 degrees Celsius.

Baffled investigators said the group died as a result of “a compelling unknown force” — and then abruptly closed the case and filed it as top secret.

The deaths, which occurred 52 years ago, remain one of the deepest mysteries in the Urals. Records related to the incident were unsealed in the early 1990s, but friends of those who died are still searching for answers.

“If I had a chance to ask God just one question, it would be, ‘What really happened to my friends that night?’” said Yury Yudin, the only member of the skiing expedition who survived.

It happened on the east shoulder of the mountain Kholat Syakhl (Холат Сяхл) (a Mansi name, meaning Mountain of the Dead)

Ghost Vanishes After Painting is Returned

Portrait of Mrs. Bell
As ghosts go, she was rather a cultured specimen.

The pale Edwardian figure made frequent visits to the mansion home of Alan Smith, always accompanied by the music of Chopin, according to the startled souls who bore witness.

Her interest in the house was a mystery – until the discovery of a long-lost painting that appeared to feature the very same person, sitting at a piano.

When the portrait was returned to Heale House’s drawing room, the sightings stopped.

Mr Smith was so fascinated he decided to investigate the history of the painting – and uncovered the sad story of the uninvited guest.

He identified the woman as a Mrs Bell, one of the 15-bedroom mansion’s previous occupants, who had been bankrupted and forced to sell all her possessions – including her beloved portrait – shortly before her death in the early 1900s.

Mr Smith said her ghost ‘would walk along the corridors and in the bedrooms, usually at about one o’clock in the morning’.

He continued: ‘She was usually wreathed in a blue haze and just drifted around – you couldn’t see her legs. Sometimes she would even arrive at the bottom of my bed in the middle of the night.

The Devil's Hole of Washington State (video)

ELLENSBURG, Wash. -- From Bigfoot to the disappearance of D.B. Cooper, the Pacific Northwest is full of mysteries. Another mystery buried deep in the hills of eastern Washington keeps resurfacing.

Ellensburg and its surrounding valleys and Manastash Ridge are beautiful in any season.

Some believe what lies beneath is a deep, dark hole with supernatural powers.

A man named Red Elk is one of the only people alive known to have ever seen the mysterious hole.

A Native American Shaman, or medicine man, Red Elk said his dad first showed him the hole in 1961.

"He said 'This is an endless hole,'" Red Elk said.

Red Elk's been back many times and said strange things happen every time he goes near it.

"People get it confused with what I call the devil's hole," he said.

Ghost of Clevedon Pier has been caught on camera

A student photographer believes he has inadvertently captured a ghostly figure on Clevedon Pier.

Matthew Hales, 17, took an early-morning trip to Clevedon to take pictures of the incoming tide for his A-level coursework.

He was using a time-lapse technique which captures pictures over a 30-second time frame.

But it was not until the teenager, from Yate, checked the individual frames from his Nikon D3000 camera that he spotted the male figure staring back at him from the pier.

Matthew, who was taking photographs with two classmates, had arrived in Clevedon at 6.30am and captured the photo around 15 minutes later.

But as the pier was closed and not due to open until 10am, questions are being asked about who the shadowy lone figure on the Victorian landmark was.

UFO Explodes in Spartanburg, South Carolina ? (video)

Early Monday morning was very disturbing to many upstate South Carolina residents who witnessed an unidentified object streaking through the sky, exploding and apparently crashing, reports Open Minds TV.

Upstate residents near Greenville reported a very bright light accompanied by an explosion shortly before 2 a.m., while others felt tremors from the nearby crash of the object.

According to Fox affiliate, Fox Carolina -- whose own security cameras caught the streaking object on video -- many callers reported seeing the sky event all across the region.

One resident, Cindie Stubbs of Fountain Inn, told Fox, "I saw this big, bright light that made the sand almost sparkle. It was so bright, it scared me."

As sky cameras captured the object heading to Earth, the Spartanburg 911 call center received more than 30 calls from people who saw it and were concerned about the loud boom sound it made.
Scientists say it was probably a type of meteor.

Ghostly Image Causes Stir

Do you believe in ghosts? Apparently there’s a nun haunting the Long Walk in Galway, Ireland. We don’t know about you, but if we were ghosts we’d probably haunt somewhere a bit cooler than an industrial estate, in fairness.

A photo that appears to capture a ghostly image of a nun on The Long Walk has been causing a stir in the city this week.
Local photographer Jonathan Curran was taking a series of 13 photographs of the picturesque area in an attempt to create a panoramic view when he came across something very unusual in one of his shots.

One of the images, which were taken less than a minute apart, appears to show an isolated female figure with the appearance of a 19th century Claddagh nun.

Mr Curran said he was “freaked” to discover the strange appearance on the camera and checked the other 12 images but the elderly woman did not appear in any of the other pictures.

“The image was not visible either before or after the photograph was taken and was not captured in any of the other photographs, either going of coming. She just seemed to appear for a moment and then disappear. There were other people on the Long Walk that day, but they seemed oblivious to her presence,” he explained.

The Brown Mountain Lights of North Carolina (video)

No matter how they try, scientists ranging from paranormal investigators to serious physicists are unable to unlock the mystery of the Brown Mountain Lights in Burke County.

“Artists and scientists alike have congregated around this phenomena,” said Joshua P. Warren, Asheville native turned paranormal investigator who spoke before a crowd of 120 Saturday at city hall at a symposium on the Brown Mountain Lights.

The Brown Mountain Lights, which can be seen from several vantage points along the Blue Ridge Parkway and the Brown Mountain Overlook on North Carolina Highway 181, have been explained as a series of orange-like orbs by those who claim to have seen them.

Stories surrounding the lights range from Indian legends about former slaves to UFO and U.S. military activity.

“The thing that makes the Brown Mountain Lights so great is that it is a blank slate upon which you can project your imagination, your dreams, your visions,” said Warren, who has made guest appearances on the National Geographic and Discovery channels, among others.

"UFO" footage from London causes YouTube stir

A budding alien hunter has spotted what appears to be a UFO in the skies above London.

Scroll down to watch the bizarre footage

Footage of a flickering orb hovering over the Thames Estuary was caught by a passing motorist on February 5.

It was then uploaded to YouTube under the username Space999dude, where the bizarre images have caused a stir among UFO hunters.

Writing on his page, the user said: “I took this from my car but had to go because of where I was parked.
“Seems too bright for a boat and looked like it was above water.”

He added: “It was a very long way off and I was at full 40x zoom hence the shaky footage.

“I always carry a camcorder in my car as saw something a few years ago and think more people should be looking and keeping cameras at the ready.”

Meet the Bloop

By Alasdair Wilkins

In the summer of 1997, the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration picked up a sound from deep beneath the Pacific. The sound seemed to come from an animal far larger than any we've ever seen. This was the Bloop.

The Bloop is one of about a half-dozen unexplained sounds that the NOAA's Acoustic Monitoring Project has picked up in its more than twenty years listening to the noises of the Pacific. While some of these sounds seem to have relatively obvious explanations, a few really are baffling, and they represent one of science's great unanswered mysteries. Let's now take a closer listen to the Bloop and five other strange underwater sounds.

Back in the Cold War, the US Navy set up a series of massive arrays of microphones throughout the world's oceans. these, unsurprisingly enough, meant as a way to listen in on Soviet submarines, and they took advantage of a phenomenon known as the deep sound channel, an ocean layer where the speed of sound becomes virtually nothing and low-frequency soundwaves that enter the channel can become trapped, bouncing around in this layer for thousands of miles.

This phenomenon allowed the arrays of the Sound Surveillance System, or SOSUS, to be able to detect even relatively weak sounds from hundreds of miles away. With the end of the Cold War around 1990, the arrays' original 30-year mission came to an end and was replaced with a new civilian function of just generally monitoring the sounds the ocean. For the last twenty years, the NOAA and its Equatorial Pacific Ocean autonomous hydrophone array have been doing just that.

"Woolly Mammoth" Spotted in Siberia (Video)

A BEAST lurches through icy waters in a sighting a paranormal investigator thinks could prove woolly mammoths are not extinct after all.

The animal – thought to have mostly died out roughly 4,000 years ago – was apparently filmed wading through a river in the freezing wilds of Siberia.

The jaw-dropping footage was caught by a government-employed engineer last summer in the Chukotka Autonomous Okrug region of Siberia, it is claimed.

He filmed the elephant-sized creature as it struggled against the racing water.

Its hair matches samples recovered from mammoth remains regularly dug up from the permafrost in frozen Russia.

The official was reportedly in the area surveying for a planned road.

Paranormal writer Michael Cohen said: "Rumours of a handful of mammoths still kicking around in the vast wilderness of Siberia have been circulating for decades and occasionally sightings by locals have occurred.

Russians Drill Breach Ancient Lake,...can you say THE THING ?

One of my favorite films is John Carpenter's THE THING, not that crappy 2011 prequel remake that Hollywood to rape us with.

But I would not like this to become a reality

It's official. Russian scientists announced today that they have reached Antarctica's Lake Vostok, an ancient, liquid lake the size of Lake Ontario buried beneath more than 2 miles (3 kilometers) of ice for at least 14 million years.

The revelation comes after days of speculation on whether the years-long effort had finally achieved its goal.

News of the scientific milestone was evidently on hold, as Russian headquarters waited on some measurements from Vostok Station, the tiny outpost in the middle of the East Antarctic Ice Sheet where the Russians have been drilling toward Lake Vostok since the late 1990s.

In fact, just after 9 a.m. local time (12 a.m. ET), Sergei Lesenkov, a spokesman for Russia's Arctic and Antarctic Research Institute, based in St. Petersburg, told OurAmazingPlanet that the team was still awaiting some final numbers from Antarctica.

"We are waiting for information which will allow us to confirm this result," Lesenkov said. He said that it appeared lake water had shot dozens of meters up into the long borehole, but that an announcement would likely come on Thursday morning, local time.

Video: Iceland 'Lake Monster' Captured on Film?

Footage was captured of an obscure phenomenon yesterday which appeared to be swimming in the glacial river Jökulsá í Fljótsdal, east Iceland.
People speculate whether this may be the notorious snake-like monster Lagarfljótsormurinn, which is said to reside in the lake Lagarfljót.

The video was taken by Hjörtur Kjerúlf and posted on ruv.is.

Lagarfljótsormurinn is Iceland’s equivalent to Scotland’s Loch Ness monster. It was first mentioned in sources dating back to 1345. According to legend, it was at first a tiny worm which was placed on a ring of gold to make the gold grow.

When the owner of the ring returned she noticed to her great terror that the worm had grown immensely but not the gold. She tossed the ring and worm into Lagarfljót where the worm continued to grow.

Orange Dart-like craft passes our aircraft at close proximity in flight

I am an airline transport pilot with over 14,000 flight hours in unique aircraft such as the HU16b I am flying in these pictures I have been flying for 40 yrs I am also a certified A&P mechanic and an IA or inspector with over 25 yrs maintenance exp on planes like these. The Albatross we have is used as a test bed for Satellite broadband internet, we are one of the few companies in the world that has airborne satellite systems for high-speed internet. The plane is full of sophisticated equipment for this purpose as it is the original test bed for this.

I have better than 20/20 vision and I usually can spot any single helium balloon of 15" diameter from a great distance and I am trained to do so. I see them all the time. That being said, the object was literally a blur and I didn’t see it as it was moving in the same direction as the plane. The order of the pictures attached here is the series of the 3 that I took with my iphone as I was just trying to get a shot of "Sisters" and Mount Jefferson in the Bend area.

Clinton Road, New Jersey : A First Person Experience

By Joe Dorish

About seven years ago, my cousin Julie and her husband Mark moved back to New Jersey from South Carolina. After months of searching, they found a great house in West Milford, New Jersey. Julie, who I grew up with, called me and asked me to meet them at the house and let them know my opinion.

After checking out a map online, I saw the home was on a street just off Clinton Road north of Route 23. I drove up Green Pond Road, got onto Route 23, and then turned right onto Clinton Road. Almost immediately, I noticed that Clinton Road was different from almost all the roads in New Jersey.

There were no homes along the road and no connecting roads. Clinton Road was very curvy and kept winding around between different bodies of water. At one point, I saw what looked like shack off to the right along a dirt driveway, and later on, I saw an old kiln by the road. But other than that, there was nothing along Clinton Road. Isolation was the word that came to my mind.

After about 10 miles, I reached the street off Clinton Road where the house was. The house was great, with four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a finished basement. It was perfect for Julie, Mark, and their kids. While looking at the house, I mentioned how creepy Clinton Road was. Julie's realtor shot me a look and looked like she wanted say something not particularly nice to me, but she said nothing.

UK Pub Releases CCTV Footage of Apparition

When radio presenter Darren Fernando drifted off to sleep after a quiet evening at home, he had no inkling that a few hours later he would have “a paranormal experience”.

But that is exactly what the Abbots Langley resident claims to have had, when he was awoken by the sound of horses’ hooves and a rattling carriage in the early hours of a Sunday morning.

The 35-year-old father said: “Out of my window I saw two horses and a carriage riding towards The Royal Oak pub car park in Kitters Green. It was a really old-fashioned carriage, Victorian I would guess.

“I remember the time clearly, 4.02am, because I’ve got a clock beside my bed and I thought how strange, that horses and a carriage would be riding at that time.
